Ahhhh, the playoffs. Well, not quite. I have never considered the wildcards to be actual playoff games. It seems more like a lottery for the food stamp crowd. Making the "cut" to participate in a wildcard game isn't something to be proud of. Its like saying you were "almost" good enough, but heres some charity. Regardless, it's my choosen profession to objectively cover the playoffs, and despite my distaste for certain aspects of it, the wildcard games do still count. Today we will cover what promises to be a good game, the Columbia Pittsburgh contest. Well..........it will be a good game if you live in Columbia.

Have you ever seen a riot? I mean, not necessarly in real life, but mabe you watched one on the nightly news, or in a movie. You see how the prisoners run around like mad setting fire to beds and beating up guards. Some of them might even chuck a couple of their fellow cellmates off the top tier. Sad, I know. Now imagine the Columbia recievers when they take the field Sunday. Here you have the best recievers in the game in Ramos, Whitaker, and Halbert. During my research for this game I searched far and wide for a defensive backfield for the Power, but couldn't find one. When I contacted the Pittsburgh front office asking them if they had seen any db's or safties on the roster, they rudely hung up on me, so I was left to fend for myself.
I imagine that Cartagena cannot wait to hit the field, has the Fire will basically be playing dodgeball, only they are the only ones allowed to throw.
The Powers saving grace may come in the form of their defensive line. Cartagena's sick O' line could prove to be their only weakness, has he was sacked an amazing 31 times this year. I hope LT Jason Dube can be everywhere at once, because Power lineman Micah Canterbury, and Tod Woods are licking their chops. They know their only chance to win this game will be if they are able to disrupt the passing attack, and get pressure on Cartagena.
In closing it appears on paper as if the Fire have this one locked up, but never underestimate the power of homefield. This one will come down to the wire:
