Looks like I almost missed this week! I probably should've missed last week as I was miserable yet again going 1-3 again. This is harder than it looks

Game of the Week
LOU @ STL(-4)
This week marks the return of QB Mark McMurray. This team has been on a roll without him, but he'll help significantly in this game. I just don't see the Voodoo winning this game without Hairston, not to mention that they're on the road!!! I pick STL. to win no problems coving the 4 points
HAR @ ALB(-1)
HAR is going to win this game. QB Jim Hickman is my 2nd favorite young QB, just behind QB Reuben Sante!
NOR(-13) @ BOS
13pts for the best team in the Imperial league? That's too many for Reuben and the boys. Boston will keep this one close and cover the spread
ORL(-2) @ SLC
Time for me to kick ORL while they're down. I still think SLC is one of those teams that has more talent than their record shows. They return home and have Booker and co. squeek one out and try to keep their playoff hopes alive. SLC to win this game
Vic's Top 5
1.Norfolk Vipers
2.Orlando Pirates
3.Columbia Fire
4.Little Rock Toads
5.St. Louis Cardinals
Orlando loses a close one last week and falls one spot behind undefeated NOR. Columbia wins and has a big game vs. PIT this week. LRK rolls on, and STL rounds out the top 5.
This week was a busy week for me. I was travelling from one side of the country to the other, and unfortunatley was not able to stop into a bye team's HQ. I did however receive a phone call from rookie phenom RB Alan Crespo.
1.How has your season been so far?
It's been difficult to deal with. I'm really not used to losing quite so much. The fans here in Newark are a little upset about the teams record as well. We've had a really tough schedule, but that's no excuse. The loss vs. VAN hurt us a lot.
2.What can you do to make things different?
I can do a lot of things. When I'm done my career, I want to be the man. I want to be the greatest of all time. I think I need more carries to show that. I also would like to have the ball thrown to me a lot more. I'm a gamebreaker, plain and simple.
3.You currently have 8 fumbles this season. Is this a concern?
It's a concern, yes. I've been considered a "fumbler". I'm ok to admit that. However, I've been working with our coaches and I'm working hard on covering up the ball. I hope to have this corrected.
4.If the rookie of the year votes were cast today, who would win?
Me, hands down! I've got the numbers to back it up. I'm not satisfied yet, though. I've really got to get more consistent. There is a lot of rookie talent out there, and if I let down, they'll pass me! I hope that I can continue to play hard and be an all pro in my 1st year. You never know!
5.Where do you see this team going in the future years?
Up. I knew that we were forced last year to take a step back, in attempts to take 2 steps forward. There are a lot of good vets on this team who'll be retired in a few years. They're the guys that are passing down to the next generation of players. Us young guys on the team are taking it all in. Obviously our success is dependant on Walter Walker, our Oline, John Arnold, Scott Nelson, and myself. Scott really needs to get his confidence back. He's a good QB, sometimes I think he forgets that. Our goal is to make it to the playoffs, then anything can happen. We're in a tough division, so we know it's going to take time.
Thanks Alan!
Until next week
