    2043 DRAFT CLASS

    JAMAL MOCK - #11

With only two receivers on the roster and trading down and not selecting K.C. Alexander, getting Mock here was a top priority. He's a raw talent, but excelled in private workouts.

    1st rd. 11th Overall
    Wonderlick Test - 31
    40 Time - 4.41
    Bench - 15
    Agility - 6.89

    Position Drill - 63

    Initial rating: 37/69 - TC (43/72) - PS2 (44/77)
    Year 2: (57/77)
    Year 3: (TBD)

    CHUCK TERRY - #75

Getting some OL help was a must with no center or starting tackle. Terry will start on the left side at some point soon in his career.

    1st rd. 25th Overall
    Wonderlick Test - 40
    40 Time - 5.04
    Bench - 35
    Agility - 7.56

    ABEL KANE - #29

With only two corners on the roster, getting some youth and a tackling corner was a plus. Kane should backup Mueller and play early on in his career.

    3rd rd. 68th Overall
    Wonderlick Test - 24
    40 Time - 4.45
    Bench - 12
    Agility - 6.94
    Broad Jump - 9'9"
    Position Drill - 46

    Initial rating: 32/56 - TC (39/56) - PS2 (40/65)
    Year 2: (47/65)
    Year 3: (TBD)

    DOMINIQUE WALZER- #65

Walzer is another interior lineman added to the a thin unit. He might end up at guard, but center is his main position.

    3rd rd. 82nd Overall
    Wonderlick Test - 37
    40 Time - 5.19
    Bench - 34
    Agility - 7.82
    Broad Jump - 7'9"

    Initial rating: 26/61 - TC (31/59) - PS2 (30/56)
    Year 2: (30/55)
    Year 3: (TBD)

    STANLEY AYI - #1

The scouts raved about Ayi after his pro day he was will likely still just be the 3rd quarterback as Edmunds still needs a little time to develop.

    3rd rd. 92nd Overall
    Wonderlick Test - 33
    40 Time - 4..89
    Bench - 11
    Agility - 7.56
    Broad Jump - 9'0"
    Position Drill - 81

    Initial rating: 13/30 - TC (15/31) - PS2 (16/28)
    Year 2: (16/29)
    Year 3: (TBD)

    CARLOS SIMMONS - #90

The likely landing spot for Simmons is defensive end. He's purely a pass rusher, so linebacker isn't the answer for him.

    4th rd. 99th Overall
    Wonderlick Test - 27
    40 Time - 4.73
    Bench - 27
    Agility - 7.55
    Broad Jump - 9'2"
    Position Drill - 20

    Initial rating: 15/30 - TC (27/41) - PS2 (27/40)

      GRAHAM MALONEY - #23

Maloney will be a corner at the next level. Despite his size he's quite effective in the run game and isn't afraid of contact. It does however come at a price as he's a little injury prone due to his playing style.

      4th rd. 114th Overall
      Wonderlick Test - 30
      40 Time - 4.48
      Bench - 19
      Agility - 7.13
      Broad Jump - 8'4"
      Position Drill - 46

      Initial rating: 20/39 - TC (24/38) - PS2 (22/38)
      Year 2: (26/33)
      Year 3: (TBD)

      ISAIAH SINCLAIR - #77

Sinclair is the third interior lineman drafted by the Stallions. He should provide much needed depth and can play just about any spot on the line, but is raw and needs to dedicate himself to the weightroom.

      4th rd. 122nd Overall
      Wonderlick Test - 45
      40 Time - 5.21
      Bench - 27

        CORBIN BORDERS - #54

Borders will be a project. He's a perfect elephant, but can't handle the top tackles he'll face in the league. With work, he could develop and be a decent defensive end in a few seasons.

        LEVON TORELLI - #97

Torelli may not pass the eye test, but he's a worker. He's surprising agile and with a good conditioning program, might just reach his potential.

          KERRY GEORGE - #16

George was very inconsistent at Auburn. He showed flashes, but was just a second/third fiddle in the passing offense.

          SHERMAN SHANNON - #71

Shannon is a hedge pick as the offensive line is being constructed. He's not a lock to make the roster, but has about as good a chance as the last lineman selected.

          LIONEL WILLIAMS - #47

            RANDAL STAMER - #35

The last of the draft class, is Stamer. He's a zone coverage DB with press and kick return skills. If he can return kicks, he can make the team, if not, he'll likely be cut since he can't play special teams.

I like the look of our first draft class. Four future starters and if 7th rd pick, Shannon develops, we may have a fifth. Abel Kane boomed and gives us four on the Green Page. Not sure I've every had that on any team of mine.

                  2044 DRAFT CLASS

                  STAN WILKERSON - #89

Even though the Stallions hit with Mock last draft, the group could use someone to absorb the double teams and give Edmunds a full mixture of receivers at his disposal.

                  COLBY COLEMAN - #50

Coleman sure looks the part. He may not start right away, but Ronnie Meert has the body of a safety and Andrew Blackwell is 33 and on the last year of his contract.

We like having six wide receivers, but Glover isn't a lock to make the roster with his 18% development. Our scouts liked him, so we gave him the chance to be a Stallion.

Been working with a few GPT's in APFL, in hopes for a custom one for FOF. Decided to give the trade GPT a go for the IFL deal.

Jennings Steps into Salt Lake: Stallions Ready to Rein in the Competition?

This trade between the McAllen Lancers and Salt Lake Stallions showcases a significant quarterback move and future draft considerations, reflecting both immediate and long-term strategic thinking. Let's dissect the details and implications:

                              Trade Overview:

                              McAllen Lancers Receive:

                              Pick 1.6 in 2066
                              1st and 2nd round picks in 2067
                              1st and 6th round picks in 2068

                              Salt Lake Stallions Receive:

                              QB Myles Jennings

                              Analysis of QB Myles Jennings:

Performance Trajectory: Jennings shows a clear upward trajectory in performance over his 5-year career with the Lancers, improving in completion percentage, yards, touchdowns, and quarterback rating. His best season came in 2065, showcasing his development into a high-caliber quarterback.

Intangibles: While not primarily known for his rushing, Jennings has demonstrated the ability to side step, something Salt Lake didn't have last season. He will upgrade the offensive line by his presence.

                              Implications for the Stallions:

The acquisition of Jennings is a significant move, possibly aiming to solidify their quarterback position with a more proven and consistent performer than Brent Boore, whom they released. Jennings' experience and upward trend suggest he could be a transformative player for the Stallions, aiming to improve their offensive output and leadership at the QB position.

                              Implications for the Lancers:

The Lancers' decision to trade away Jennings, despite his development into a leading quarterback, indicates a strategic pivot towards building for the future. The acquisition of multiple high-value draft picks over the next three years allows them to address various roster needs and potentially find a new quarterback to develop.

                              Overall Assessment:

Salt Lake Stallions: This move is a strong statement of intent. By acquiring Jennings, the Stallions address their immediate need for a quarterback who can elevate their offense. Given Jennings' performance arc, this could be seen as a win-now move. Grade: A-

McAllen Lancers: The Lancers are playing the long game, gathering valuable draft capital over the next three drafts. This strategy suggests a comprehensive rebuild or a significant retooling, depending on how they utilize these picks. The success of this strategy will depend on their drafting acumen and development of new talent. Grade: B+

                              Trade Grade with a Twist:

The Stallions show a clear intention to improve their immediate competitiveness, especially at the quarterback position, which could change their fortunes in the upcoming seasons.
The Lancers' approach is riskier, betting on future draft success. However, if executed well, this strategy could set up a strong foundation for sustained success.

In conclusion, this trade is a fascinating strategic move for both teams, with the Stallions prioritizing immediate improvement and the Lancers focusing on long-term roster construction and flexibility. The impact of this trade will be an interesting storyline to follow in the coming seasons, especially as the draft picks come into play and Jennings settles into his role with the Stallions.
