The Assassins have locked up their entire backfield by resigning both starting cornerbacks, Patrick Davey and Joshua McLaughlin to long term contracts. This brings the total players resigned this year to an astonishing 7 starters:
Matthew Myer FB, 3 yrs 4.53 mil
Richard Ventura TE, 3 yrs 2.52 mil
Johnny Ingraham RG, 5 yrs 24.41 mil
Ernest Martinez SE, 5 yrs 50.56 mil
Conrad Delisle SS, 5 yrs 4.46
Patrick Davey RCB, 5 yrs 12.82 mil
Joshua McLaughlin LCB, 5 yrs 16.77 mil
This was an amazing show of team committment, and the perfect example of what Oakland General Manager Jave, had in mind when he drafted this team 3 years ago. Jave responds, " This makes me so proud, when a team shows this kind of dedication to a franchise in this day and age of free agency, and the fact that we have not had alot of wins to show for the incrediable effort we have put into this..........I am just speechless. We didn't have to spend weeks or months haggling over this thing and that thing, the players walked into my office, and said," were ready to sign". That was it. It was that simple".
With 95% of the starting unit now signed long term, one word comes to mind..........Dynasty!
