Loyalty. That has been the battle cry since this team was formed a short 2 years ago, and the managment has not forgotten the players who have suffered through loss after loss after loss, and this was the time for them to show their committment to the players. And the players were not dissapointed.
Five players were resigned this offseason, including starting FB Myer, starting TE Ventura, starting G Ingraham and of coarse, stud wideout, Earnest Martinez.
In what was no small contract, the managment has resigned Martinez to a staggering 5 year, 50.56 million dollar contract.
" We are confident that this will be the year you see Martinez break out from the pack and show what he is capable of doing. With Bice and Connell taking the preasure off of Ernest, teams will no longer be able to focus on taking him out of the gameplan. He is worth every penny"!
This was the first resignings of the rookie class that Oakland drafted, and it will be interesting to see how the Assassins will afford the entire team in the years to come as this batch of signings were not cheap!
