  • Mules draft conclusion

Murfreesboro - Mules owner Kobeck announced an abrupt end to the 2005 draft. Mules traded away thier last 3 picks to division opponent St. Louis for a 4th rounder in 2006. Kobeck also announced that the Mules traded away their 5th rounder in 2006 to Lansing for DE Chadwick Calvert. Kobeck said about the trade for Calvert "the acquisition of Calvert was a statement of the Mules committment to first round DE Cox. The Mules expect Cox to play in 2005 and hopefully Calvert will make those snaps more productive."

Is your GM firmly committed to Cox?

The Renegades were once in the running for him, but the desire for Cox just wasn't there, so I guess you can say we went limp and chose the tackle instead.

guess the Mules commitment to Cox not as strong as they thought.

just thought I'd do this before anyone else did

So does this mean that Cox is developing fast enough taht he doesn't need a mentor? Or have you been fielding offers for Cox?

Cox's stats are pretty good for a rookie De, I thought he should have at least shared RoW last week, but anyhow Cox is secure at DE barring injury.
