In what was a shocking move, the Oakland Assassins have acquired one of the youngest, most talented recievers in the league in a trade for the 8th overall pick, plus the 8th pick in the second round. According to Oakland GM Jave, this was the move that will put the Assassins over the hump!
" The chance to get Bice was a once in a lifetime opportunity for this franchise. We felt this way when we were able to acquire Connell last year, and we were fortunate enough to do it twice in two years. I feel blessed to be surrounded by this kind of talent, and this was the deal that people will be talking about for years to come".
Its scary to think of Bice on one side, and Martinez in the other in a 4 reciever set with Tessier and Fisher backing them up. Add to that the Offensive Rookie Of The Year, Wesley Connell, and Gene Hamilton throwing the ball.
Not enough? How about Defensive Player Of The Year Ken Allmon and Pro Bowl Defensive End Derek Nelson on the other side waiting to wreak havoc?
Weither you like them or not, you have to admit, the Assassins will be a handfull this year, and could very well sneak in a wild card spot in the playoffs.
