He helped Wichita to their first division win and playoff appearance as he ran for 1153 yards on 275 yards, a 4.19 ypc. He had 6 rushing touchdowns, and also added 8 receptions for 55 yards. It really only came down to two players, and they were both Fire players. McKenzie dominated the voting like he did the defensive backfield though. Consider this his breakout season, as he shot to the top of the statistical leader boards. Booker was the highest rated QB with a 94.5, and got this by connecting on 62.7% of hiss passes. Only two other guys managed one vote each. What was so impressive about Rhodes was his new single-season record of 12 INT's. Once again Sanders led the Beasts to an AFC East division title. Most have Sanders stuck in their minds for going the first seven games of the season with zero INT's. He finished the year 3599 yards passing (4th) with a completion percentage of 58.2%. He had 22 TD's to only 6 INT's. His mobility also kept him from being sacked, as he tied a league low of 17 times for a QB starting 16 games. It was another close one though as dberner gave him a run for it. sovstar gets it this year for mostly his GMing according to comments given. Owners were impressed with his ability to lead the Fire to a second division title and tying for the best record in the NFC (11-5) despite losing all-world QB Julian Cartagena for most of the year.</font></td> </tr> </table>
