New Management in Montreal
It's that time again here in Montreal, we just got word that the Firebirds have hired a new GM, NastyNati513. And quite frankly, it's another DOOZY of a move by our owner; hiring a manager who is a complete unknown and expecting him to right this ship. It's no wonder we've been flailing over the last decade. Here's the highlights of his introductory press conference:
And there you have it: the winds of change are gusting around our Firebirds. Will they be enough to change our flightpath? Or will we continue to flame out? The only way to know is to stick around and see.

(NN) "First of all, I'd just like to say how happy I am to be here. Living my whole life in the US, I couldn't be more impressed with what I've seen so far. Montreal is a great place with great people, and I can't imagine a better community to have around this football team. I'll take some questions now."
"The season just began, but already we are 1-4 with new management. Should fans give up on the year?"
(NN) "I'm going to steal a line from the coaches here and say that you can never give up on Sundays or occasionally Mondays and sometimes Thursdays. Oh and sometimes Saturdays in holiday season. But where was I? Next question"
"By this point I'm sure you're aware we haven't had a winning season in a decade. what do you think is the biggest reason for our struggles lately and is it something you can fix?"
(NN) "Well, there's lots of reasons that stretch from the top down. After all, an unfortunate streak like that doesn't happen from just one thing. We've all got a lot of work to do to make this franchise one Montreans... Montrealians... fans of the team can be proud of."
"Is there any truth to the rumor you are pushing the coaches to start rookie QB Kenyon Wolters?"
(NN) "No comment."
"What about the rumors saying you plan on tearing the team down?"
(NN) "You guys have a lot of rumors, don't you? I plan to do whatever I can to help the franchise. That's all the time I have today. Lots of work to do!"
