Vikes report interest in Urlacher.
All my Bears "loyalty" (very in-flux term when talking football in today's world) has gone out the window this off-season as they've totally gone away from their history of "Monsters of the Midway defense" and gone pansy offsene. I personally think it's a "chip on the shoulder nerd-with-glasses" thing based on the new GM and head coach but that's another thread...
I was considering the previously hated Cowboys after signing Monte Kiffen as DC and Rod Marinelli as (??) but the aformentioned previous hatred carries a lot of weight (prior 49ers fan until they traded Jerry - and that was based only on me liking "Jerry", "Barry" and "Dieon" back in the day until 2 of the 3 were on same team resulting on a mathematical logicality to having a favorite team picked for me).
Here come the rival Vikings with a power running game and interest in Urlacher. If that's not the "Bears" that I loved then I don't know what is.
I urge more of you, in this world of thousands of football teams, to get away from the 1960's way of "loyalty" thinking (back then lack of travel/riches made it really be a "home" team) about football and to be progressive and realize that it's ALL a business and corporations and thus you should follow the players/styles that you like rather than blindly following a uniform/corporation... or stop watching altogether, something like vegetarianism - that I'm not yet strong enough to do based on previous life experience.
