New old Dell Tower stuff

the old laptop died an ignoble death, and took the game with it. Waiting on a new e-license thingy and will reinstall the game.

I actually found this Dell Tower Computer, monitor, keyboard, and printer upstairs in the Pink Room (guest room) behind a bunch of old boxes. Dang this is pretty clean, and runs doggone well.

Windows XP, but what the hell.

May be a few days...I don't know what the e license people will do.

I've been using the same Dell for about a decade now. The only thing that ever went bad on it was the video card, which was probably my fault. And one of them memory chips. But it keeps plugging along on 256 megs of ram, strong and sturdy, able to do one thing in a single bound.

i bought a new one last year. Soooo much better. Not to mention, cpu's are pretty cheap now days. you can build a solid unit for under $500.

Heh, it's not the stick, it's the slot. I was putting in a new HD a few years back and my buddy took the stick out "just to look at it" and since then nothing has worked in that slot. I'll be getting a new one at some point, it's just a matter of when. I'm kind of fond of this machine.
