  • FOF Ratings for NFL players

So I was thinking, how would you rate your favorite players/teams if they were in the FOF based on the current IFL standards?

(by IFL standards I mean the top WR in the league is ranked 77 so putting one at like 96 wouldn't make sense)

I'm going to do the Patriots since I follow them quite a bit

QB - Brady - 92/92 (one of the tops in the league)
RB - Green-Ellis - 52/52 (would have 100 in avoid fumbles if they had it)
    RB - Ridley (r) - 50/56
    TE - Gronkowski - 79/79
    TE - Hernandez - 62/62
    WR - Branch - 45/45
    WR - Ochocinco - 47/47
    WR - Welker - 72/72
    LT - Light - 58/58
    LG - Mankins - 78/78
    C - Connolly - 48/48
    RG - Waters -57/57
    RT - Solder (r) - 45/63

    DE - Carter - 57/57 (IR)
    DE - Ellis - 42/42
    DE - Anderson - 51/51
    DT - Wilfork - 76/76
    DT - Warren - 43/43
    LB - Ninkovich - 50/50
    LB - Mayo - 64/64
    LB - Guyton - 42/42
    LB - Fletcher - 44/44
    CB - Dowling (r) - 39/54 (IR)
CB - McCourty - 45/52 (dropped about 10 points from last season)
    CB - Arrington - 46/46
    S - Chung - 55/55
    S - Ihedibo - 41/41

    Thoughts? Let's hear yours

I think you have Mayo rated to low. He must be at least 70/70. 500 tackles in 4 years.

For some reason I thought the overall talent rating for ILB's was a bit lower for the league. I can see him possibly around 70, as I didn't realize he had 175 with 2 sacks last year. I know he gets a lot of tackles because the front line has been brutal the past few seasons once they double-team Wilfork, allowing him plenty of chances, but 175 is a ton even under those circumstances.

I also didn't want to be a homer on Welker. He's a tough one. I think he's a great receiver but I wouldn't put him much higher despite his stats because I think he's in the absolute perfect situation for him right now between how they use him, the QB throwing to him, and the double coverage a guy like Gronk can get.

He's definitely like a Branch, but better. Thrives in one system but numbers would drop with another quite a bit... to be fair though, the same can be said about pretty much any receiver in the league.
