  • The Phantom Touchdown/with pix

So I saw the play when it happened and was totally confused. At no time did I see the player or the ball cross the goal line. Even after replays I didn't see it.

    Jackson gets handoff

He heads into the pile. At this point you can still clearly see the 2 on his jersey

He goes into the pile and we lose him here, however notice the goalline. You can see the goalline and the grass still. No sign of Jackson or the ball.

If you look under the Raiders players legs, you can still still grass and an Oakland defensive player on the ground. So OBVIOUSLY, Jackson isn't in that space.

He is 2 seconds later, and we can still see the Oakland defender on the ground, and notice you can see the white of the goal line. I do not see Jackson nor the ball. However notice the Bills offensive lineman looking at the ref to see if it's a touchdown

Here is a good pic of what I am ASSUMING is Jacksons helmet. Notice neither he, nor the ball has crossed the goal line. The ball is tucked away near his chest

This was NOT a touchdown. In fact, when Jackson stands up, he produces the ball from his chest and it STILL never crossed the goalline. Phantom touchdown.

Actually the Bills RACE to the line to kick the extra point. If you have NFL Rewind watch it. They RUN to the line. Even they knew it wasn't a touchdown but the booth doesn't bother to review it. And you also see the Oakland players just prior to the kick motioning to Hue to throw the challenge flag.

It's entirely based on which team will benefit from the review? Seriously, all the NFL has done with all these new rules is make the refs impact on the result of the game huge. Like, the Bills getting 5 1st downs because of penalties. Really?

You see games impacted by the refs with ticky tacky BS calls every week. It really takes a lot out of the game.
