It's been a long two and a half months, and a challenging one. The death of my Father In Law, a WWII vet with the Army Air Corp and a Purdue alumn, took us by surprise even though he was 89, almost ninety. He was a robust man who stayed very active. He was just recognized by the KIAWANIS Club for 42 years with perfect attendance. They guy was dependable.
Unfortunately, the Mother In Law is battling Alzheimers and can't stay alone, so I volunteered to stay with her until the wife could set up a virtual office. Between the three siblings, we've tagged teamed the summer and it's been difficult. The home has no air conditioning, something I need, but it's a big old stately thing they've owned since 1961.
But, it's only been recently that we've installed the internet, it took longer than expected, and now it's in and the wife's office is awaiting her. I'm afraid she'll be shocked by the depth of her Mother's disability...it's worse than Dad ever let on, and I've got to prepare her for that....revelation.
I posted on the FOF forum the semi-retirement announcement because of time constraints. I was in too many leagues and I had to leave immediately for Indiana from Georgia, so it was a necessary although clumsy move.
I can't join too many leagues as my primary job is Mom, but I have returned to the DFL and would like to include the IFL as the only other league I'd return, the schedule here is perfect for my situation.
So, I'm asking to be placed on the wait list, and I'm apologizing to the league for the abrupt departure. Life took a u turn for us, and it caught us by surprise.
HOOSIERDADDY!
