  • ESPN's 30 for 30

Justsaw on espn that they are airing their 30 for 30 special about Terry Fox tomorrow.
As a Canadian, this means a lot to me. I recall as a young kid clammoring to get to the side of the road to grab a glimpse of terry running.

Anyone who has had cancer touch their lives should watch and be inspired by a great young candian hero.

I've played against/with Rick Fox at the Baker's Boys Club in Warsaw, Indiana longgg before he became a Celtic/Laker.

                  Hey, no probs.

Having had a loved one fight this disease and thus far win, it's a very touching story. As a Canadian, it makes me proud to say that Terry was a Canadian hero. I couldn't imagine doing what he did, and what he did with 1 leg and having cancer in his lungs.

and that gait he had was akward as all get out as well. I bet that artifical leg was state of the art in the 70s though. I bet he could have completed the run with current artifical limbs.

no way I could ever. Starting from birth till death.

I wasn't ripping on Fox just thinking with one of those modern artifical limbs his gait would have been more fluid and he probably could have surpassed the 26 miles a day he was running, probably easily, not that running 26 miles is easy. Heck you know what I mean.
