Ok, the move is set for tomorrow. Because we are 500ft from the pole, mediacom is unable to stretch a cable from A to B it appears so we have to drop them and get crappy DSL, which is HALF the speed we have now, and unbelievably cost MORE.
So the bottom line is we will now be offline until the 15th, I put an order in this morning. I still think it's BS...the guy in the house 20 feet from us has Mediacom, yet they say it's IMPOSSIBLE to provide us cable because we are to far from....something. I normally wouldn't care except we got a SWEET deal from em. We got a landline(which I never even had installed haha), 12MB internet and basic cable for $67 a month. We were paying $120 a month before we threatened to cancel and they hooked us up with that. We won't even have any TV now unless we can afford Direct TV now it appears. Oh well.
