MRI Tomorrow

Anyone ever had one? I messed my shoulder up pretty bad playing a dfodge ball game at school a week a go friday. I aggravated playing Disc golf. Went to the doctor today and he suspects a torn labrum.
Im going in tomorrow for the MRI. Any info would be appreciated.

It is pretty simple if I recall correctly. The MRI itself shouldn't be much to worry about.

I had surgury on a torn rotator cuff last Sept., pretty close to the same thing. In the MRI they will probably inject your shoulder with something so they can see the tear. Then they put you in a metal tube and the magnets start making a funky noise. The only thing I suggest is dont fall asleep. Right before I went in the guy tells me to make sure not to fall asleep. So, within 5 minutes I am out. When you sleep you actually make small movements that mess up the MRI so I had to do it 2x's. Talk about boring.

Let me know how it goes and I can fill you in on the surgury. Great drugs by the way.

I guess a shoulder is different but i had to have one for a hernia and the worse part was the fucking chalk i had to drink the night before and the morning of. Yucky. The MRI was actualy fun, I just pretended I was in a space ship and space whores were waiting for me on the outside.

They didnt inject anything. But I did get head phones.
It only took about 20 minutes and wasnt too bad. I like trying new things.

I wish I read about space ships and space whores before I went in. Would have made it much more exciting.

Results back in a couple days. My shoulder keeps getting worse. And my doctor went with weak pain killers. Im eating them like candy and all I get is high with shoulder pain.

After surgury I got percoset. It is a notch above vicodin. It kicked ass. Throw in a little ambien and you sleep like a baby.

I demand horse tranqualizers for anything from spleen removal to sniffles.

I got a corisone shot in my rotator cuff to help the tendinitis. It didnt take away the pain im experiencing. I go back for another MRI on my neck on the 5th of October.
Im thinking I have a nerve issue.

I had a shoulder op about 4 years ago. They scoped my shoulder, shaved about an inch of bone to align my shoulder with my arm again and repaired my torn labrum, it was an easy surgery and my arm is stronger now than it has been since I was in high school.

I do a pretty good job of that without any pain or suffering.
