Draft Utility almost functional. Looking for testers...

Yep. Let me know if you've got some time and inclination. I'm especially looking for people NOT in the Eastern US Time zone so that I can get some feedback on timestamps.

If you can help please leave what times are best for you since I'm very open and can accommodate the group's preference.


Working so far (afaik):
1) Drag and Drop sorting of preference lists.
2) Every field sortable for draftees (40, bench, name, pos, etc...) <-- VERY SLOW with a full draft class
3) Each pick timestamped for due time and made time as well as who made pick (for mod choices made for other GMs)
4) Moderator makes trades

I "posted" yesterday in this thread but I guess it never took.

The server was giving me issues for quite a while yesterday, which is very worrisome but the first time with these guys (Cyberwurx).

Thanks to those who've logged in. It appears that code is working.

The timestamp on when pick's are due is functional by itself but not when coinciding with draft hours so that's what I'm working on now and why the timestamps are no longer showing for "Pick Due".

Looks to be working so far (jinx?) There's a Test Imperial Football League that I've got going if anyone wants to play around.

Not anything close to what I envision yet but seems to be functional anyway.

I see some people have signed up but I don't see any preference lists created. Has anyone tried and received an error message?

I just added some code that, if working correctly, will display the preference list info so if anyone(s) can try populating their preference list and turning a couple picks "on" that'd be a great help.

The last thing I added was some rudimentary percentage bars to show how a player matched up with the rest of the potential draftees at his position at various combine drills. If you click on a player that's already been drafted you should be able to see this... theoretically.

More to come but I've been approved to move into a house in Seattle* on May 1st so progress is going to decline rapidly and then stop for short while at this point.

Incredible effort. Here's some feedback.

The ease to sort your selected players is outstanding!

I then tried to sort the various columns. All columns seem to sort in the order that I entererd. and a previously sorted column was redistributed accordingly without disturbing the logic of the sorts.

The position group is a nice add.

Are you omitting the games rated value on each player?

Only found one bug, the sort on the player "position drill" threw in some one digit rankings in the wrong places.

At the moment I am....

1) because I'd like to make this a football draft utility and not just an FOF utility so I'm including the usual combine stuff for now
2) because I truly think the overall rating is next to useless and the more people see it the more they're inclined to put value into it.

...but even though I'm making all decisions now to get it up and running the idea is that it's a public service, not "my ball to take and go home" so eventually I'd like to try to accommodate as many requests as I can.

Yeah, that whole javascript sort was a heaven sent script... until I loaded up a couple of hundred players and saw the slowdown. It's a wonderful stop-gap and I'm very glad I found it but I'm going to have to get in there and create my own sort routine down the road.

I think the sort routine is treating everything as text, even the "numbers" so "11" comes before "12" but then "12" comes before "9" or any other number without a "1" or "0" as the first character.

is this going to be an IFL-only application or are you gonna share with everyone? it'd be cool if it was IFL-only.

It's going to be for anyone that can use it. But if you only sign into IFL stuff and don't ever change the id's passed around then it can be "just IFL" to you.
