Let me tell you about a local Fargo radio station. Lite Rock 105 plays the best mix of the 70's, 80's, 90's, and today. Rick Astley, Fido, Nora Jones, whatever. I call it dentist music because that's the station that is always playing when I get my teeth clean.

I swear to fuckin christ that Chinese Democracy is the greatest album of all time. Axl Rose simply went nuts is all.

Being a huge fan of Tommy Stinson, who was in the Replacements, who were front by Paul Westerberg, who put out Suicane Gratification, i've been following the story of the album and Axl was so insane of the treatment of the tracks that he was bringing in guy after guy and redoing 3 seconds worth of stuff over and over and over to the tune of millions of dollars in some OCD afflicted attempt to "get it exactly right".

Anyhoo, these 2 tracks are/will/would be on the album and are completely blow away shit

I don't have much of an opinion the Peppers other than I used to love and appreciated them and now I could care less. Could be my fault, could be their fault, whatever, fuck em.

I noticed that too. I thought everyone had seen that old clip on how he got his name: (phone rings waking him up) "Bill, how do you spell Axel?" "A..X...L...(click)".


FWIW I believe that possibly the rarest thing in music is someone who can make anything but absolute crap once they've gotten paid. They start off making sense and end up with shit like "mo money, mo problems" and they always have some stupid lyric like "I wish I could go back". Ok... give up the money... problem solved.


Reminds me of people who cry about mortgages. "I've got a mortgage to pay!!! It's a live concert. I've heard some of the studio tracks and they are amazingly produced. I can see where he'd go insane trying to get it exactly right if he in fact was doing that.
