I was in the league. I know the story. It was sad.
That was a good league and i had finally gotten the Cardinals to win 10 games (took 9 seasons). Still missed the playoffs.

I don't know how you guys accept the closing of a league as easilly as you do but I'll say that if the IFL shuts down I'll be going on a geographical journey of "exhaling".

I was in that league, but I left when Joe left. Great league. Great guys. I just lost interest when he was gone. It had been dieing a slow death even before then. At least we got a championship in a shootout with Joe's Vikings in the IFL heyday. We were the Colts. I loved that team. There was a lot of studs on it.Comment

It was alright, but the guys who took over for Joe, made some pretty awful decisions. . .then they quit. . the new guy was broadcasting for new GMs since about 2/3rds left during the shake up.
But noone wanted ot play a 2004 league, and he just was afraid of the decision to move to 2007. Because we would have lost another 1-2 GMs. It was ugly.
Those of us that stuck around until the end, we just got to watch it spiral out of control. It wasn't pretty.2005 AC North Division Champions
