1- Installed Diablo
2- Started to play and got pixelation problems, lots of mumble jumble and artificats. Screen went black, weird ass buzzing noises came out of my comp.
3- I unplugged and plugged back in and loaded Diablo. This time I got the same pixilation but a box popped up that said something like "VPU has reset your graphics accelerator as it is not working" or something to that effect. In essence it's ATI's way of shutting your card down before windows reboots itself.
4. I try all sorts of crap. I uninstall the new video drivers I got last week and go back to the previous ones. Now my old problem of random screen pixilation on folder boxes reapears.
5. I reinstall the new drivers and the folder box pixilation goes away but whenever i try to run a game that requires acceleration or 3d it's all messed up and shoots me right out.
6. I decide to turn my comp off for a bit.
7. I turn it back on and before It gets to the splash "dell" screen, the entire screen has lines and distortion and is totaly fugged. It gets to the desktop but i can barely see that thru all the lines and discoloration and crap, and then it goes black.
8. I unplug and plug back in, turn on the comp and it powers up but soon it dies out before anything can happen, the green light just fades.
9. I repeat step 8 a few more times and the same thing happens.
Please tell me that this is only a video card issue? That i think I can fix by myself, but if my mobo or power supply is damaged I am screwed for about a week.
