Tree go boom.

I am getting out of the shower yesterday and here a loud noise. "WTF is that?" I say to myself as I towel of my dripping wet body (details added for Suicane and Jeff).

Go out into my back yard, fucking tree fell over. It was pretty much dead, so I guess it was coming at some point. Thankfully only a little part hit the house/roof. Decent size tree too.

Now I get to go cut the fucker up...with a high powered electric chainsaw. Guess a real gas one would be nice, but I never expected trees to be falling over.

I feel your pain about the tree cutting, I had a Bradford Pear tree fall on the house a couple of years ago, damaged the gutter pretty good but I hammered that b'tard back into some semblence of gutterlike shape.

Dealing with that tree was quite the issue though. About the only thing I am truly scared of, and have been since I was a kid and my Daddy made me and my brother help him, is a chainsaw. Needless to say that dang Bradford Pear tree costs me a lot of beer as I had to bribe friends to cut it up for me. lol

Good luck with your electric chainsaw that does not sound like a fun project at all to me.

The chainsaw was fine for the most part. I got most of it done but then I had drained the two 18volt batteries so I had to stop. After I run for a bit here I am going to go back out there today (since I am not oing to work again :x ) and trie to get the rest cut up. The problem now is it is getting down to the base, which may be a little too big for this chainsaw.

And my gutter did getbent a little, but not much. Thankfully it hit on top of the house more then the gutter. And even better was the branches that hit the ground kept it from being to bad of an impact. COuld have been a ton worse. It was the corner of the house. A few feet to the side and it would have taken out my fence which would have screwed me because of the dogs.
