Ever Had Your Clock Reset?

Yeah, so last night I was doing stuff and everytime I would download stuff to my desktop all my icons would move all over the place. Odd I though. Then all the sudden some of my proggies went all screwy, namely my newsreader which showed articles as being over thousands of days old. So i removed the progy, reinstalled, same problem. Removed again, upgraded to a new version, same problem. Uninstalled again, removed registry entries, went back to the old version and then after I rebooted i decided to check my comp clock...........and it was set at January, 16 2034. :shock:

A few years ago I was about to reformat/reinstall cause my PC would not boot - only into the most basic safe mode.

Somebody recommend I check system date and it was set to like 1680 or something wierd. I reset it and avoided a reformat/reinstall. I think it was kiddie software that done it. I refuse to let that crap on "my" PC. lol

by kiddie software I am talking about Reader Rabbit 3 or crap like that. When you load that stuff it will overwrite your sytem file without asking and reset your video settings, just generally has its way with the system. I will NOT put any of it on my PC anymore.
