  • I think I may have to pause the league for a while.....

.......because FM2006, errr, Worldwide Soccer Manager 2006, is going to suck me in and never let me go.

I have an hour of playtime so far and I think 30 minutes of that has been jerking off several times as I see stuff that is turning me on.

I dream of a day when FOF or some other football sim can be to this level.

Is that out in the stores in North America yet? I've been looking forward to it, but don't want to go the try and buy method.

Not too sure if it is in stores yet. It was supposed to come out this week. All I know for sure is that the download version came out last night, which you can try and buy or just buy right off the bat I guess too. I haven't purchased it yet but I probably will by tonight or if not then this weekend.

FM is super deep. I don't like soccer enough to get totally into it though. I certainly wish they had a similar game engine on FOF though.

I wish I was into soccer, that looks pretty cool.

I'm really excited about OOTP2006 however, and speaking of that, if someone here starts up a league for it when it comes out, i'm in

With OOTP going teaming up with Sports Interactive I hope it becomes a much better game. I have paid for it twice now and have just never gotten into it much.

I have never been a big soccer guy at all, but FM is too good for me not to get into.

I'm definitely pushing myself to get into this game (not a huge soccer fan myself) and I think it'll work in the end. Finally figured out where I'd like to start my first league - Belgium ow ow!

As for OOTP, I'm excited for it's release as well, but am trying not to get hopes up too much. Markus' games haven't exactly grabbed a hold of me in the past.

Yea, OOTP has been a let down every release, but i'm also hoping with the new code he gets to work with, the new version will be great. I've always actually enjoyed the "puresim" baseball game, it was simple and had a good amount of info, but it was far too buggy to enjoy.

I'm with you Cringer. WWSM 06 is on my Christmas list. I figured by then there would be a couple of patches, some quality tutorials, and of course the much needed vacation time to play the game.

Have you tried puresim lately? Since he signed on with Matrix games and released the gold version I mean. It's doing quite well as a game, very solid.

No, last time I played it was about 3-4 years ago, maybe i'll give it a try. Hopefully he still has a demo like he did the first time
