Shit man, hope you got out, and hope your home makes it through OK. Slidell looks like it could be one of the badly hit areas now that this hurricane slid to the east.

New Orleans is getting nailed still, Slidell has to be a little worse.

    Good luck.

              ditto on all this

I can't even fathom this. Where I live, things like this don't happen. We might get the odd tornado, but this is unreal.

My prayers are with anyone who lived in the area

ANyone see that picture where they had the prisoners corralled on the offramp with the flood waters swirling underneath them. My bet is that anyone in that area in police/emergency/prison anything at all like that and they will be getting a ton of OT. I am confident he is fine, but I am an optomistic guy.

I emailed both these guys days ago. Hopefully we here from them at some point.

I know I heard Slidell had about 90% of everything taken out. Hopefully that is wrong but I don't know. Gulfport isn't much better I guess.

                            Hey guys ...

thanks for te prayers and thoughts.

It has been one hell of an experience. I am now in Indianpolis where my parents live.

We evacuated on Sunday to Mobile ... wrong choice, as you now know (last I heard is that they are still without electricity) ... then went to Montgomery and now to Indy.

Slidell, where I live took the storm about at 11 o'clock on the eye. I live right on the water on the shores of Lake Pontrchartrasin. Aerial shots still show a structure ... don't know much more than that.

I finally got my ex out of New Orleans last night. She was trapped inside Memorial Hospital, now evacutated. I will be picking her up in St. Louis today. She relays stories of gunfire etc ... stuff right out of a science fiction novel.

Sorry, I do not have much time to chat because I am on the road again.

Thank god that my three sons , wife and ex-wife are ok and away from that very sad area. We will regroup, but it will take some time.

Thanks again for the toughts and prayers. I will be back in touch.
