  • I sent the following to Cringer

Early on Bloody Sunday I sent the following to Cringer

I will not be available till late sunday evening as I am going to watch the Titans destroy Gayton P-man and the dolts!

Well at least the Titans showed up for the first half. dolts adjusted, apparently they scored 4 TD's in the second half, and the Titans apparently did not as they were out of the game 31-17 with 5 mins available.

Tennessee blew a 150+ yard performance by Chris Brown as the Titans could move at will around the field except when they needed a yard or therr. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

Anyhow Jags come to Nashville next sunday and they are typically a cure for what ever ailes the Titans!

man, atleast they lost to a damn good team. My Packers sucked against the Bears, that is embarrasing.
My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

line started at +6.5 Tennessee and is down to +6 Tennessee.

Titans usually have to be smacked upside the head before they realize that they
have to play hard to win. If they don't show up with their A game sunday then they
probably not bother to do so all year like 2001.

Typical Tennessee J'ville game goes like this : Finesse triplets Brunell/Taylor/Smith get a ton of press about
how great they are and usually Taylor has suffered a multi week injury before halftime and Brunell gets knocked out of the game in the second half. Smith has some success but it is underneath and contained. Titans score enough to win and that is about all.

I know that Ironleg Wrongwich is QB instead of Brunell, who would still be in J'ville if he could beat Tennessee, so that exact scenario will not unfold, but that is typical.

What I expect this sunday would be for Jacksonville to light up the Titan secondary and make Leftwich look like PB material - every other QB does why not him? Heck Tennessee even lost to RYAN LEAF. Anyhow back to sunday I see QB doing good, but Whirlpool Taylor will dissappear, as he always does. And Leftwich, despite the numbers he should produce, will make enough mistakes to keep stalling Jag drives. On O Tennessee will grind out 3-4 scoring drives and if they are going to win the game at least 2 of them better be TD's!!!!!!!!

What I am saying is that if I was to gamble on this game I would take the Kittens and the 6, probably be money in the bank - BUT I think Tennesse gets the close win at home. So for a final I would say 17-14 or 20-17 Tennessee.

You think the Jags are going to give them 17 points----I'm not betting on that. I smell an upset

I can just see Jacksonville's no-name tight end catching another game winner as his only catch of the game. How odd would that be?

Like I said earlier. Jags look good every year - till they play Tennessee. I will even grant that holding Denver to 6, shutting them down in the 2nd half, is impressive. But lets look at the other side of the ball. Jags have scored 2 TD's in 2 games.

I grant you that J'ville wants to beat Tennessee more than they want to beat even TB or Miami. But their record against Tennessee 99 onward is 2-9 with the wins comming in 2000 and 2001.

I will just add this, divisional game with a lot of history and annimonisty, records mean nothing in this game. Yet I would still rather be 2-0 than 1-1, but I expect the Titans to be 2-1 and the jags to be 2-1 also.

                  Keep chopping wood

Tennessee did NOT get that second TD, jags did. End of story.

Titans have given up 36 points in the 4th quarter in 3 games. Not gonna win many playing like whimps!
