I honestly have no idea what direction I will go here..........For sure looking for 480 watt + PS, any advice?

As long as it is your money and not mine I would go for one of the modular power systems. not all the clutter of unused supplies obstructing your air flow.

I have no idea how much it costs, but it sure would make for a neat build.

rather than relying on raw numbers to determine Powersupply (PSU), you should really look at the quality of the power supply, as measured in efficiency.

Also, for PSU, I think acoustics (noise) would be one of the critical criteria I would use. Since PSU would be rarely changed unless it goes kaboom and is the most critical aspect of your system, I would allocate more money here than say a peripheral like a video card.


So my recommendations--

250-350w: Seasonic Super Silencer 300 or 350

and if you must have 400w+--

Seasonic S12-430

I have a PSU I'm very happy with Jave . It's an Aspire 520W Dual Fan model and it's very quiet on the default fan speed. At 520W I have no 'juice' issues
