Game Plans

So, I wanted to take a moment to make sure Game Plans are working like I think they are. For week 4 I made Depth Chart and Game Plan changes on both side of the ball. Now that I imported the result of Week 4, those Game Plan changes are no longer there. It looks like, based on some Box Score stuff I am seeing, that my Game Plan WAS run in Week 4 (at least I'm pretty sure).

Is that how things are supposed to work? The team executes my Game Plan every week, but I then have to set up my Game Plan again every single week (the system doesn't remember from week to week)? That is fine if that is the case, I DID save out my Game Plan changes, but I just want to make sure I am understanding the system properly.

If you didn't change anything, it should have been your old plan BUT I've had some instances where a local file makes you see a previous upload. I never note what it is but a local file has to be deleted sometimes on your client to *see* your actual gameplan.

The game should save your game plan.

Check your Leagues folder for a .FPN file. If you find that file, deleted it. Or at least change the file extension temporarily. Deleting the file shouldn't break anything, but I prefer to be cautious.

I was about to ask about the same issue myself! Hopefully a game plan save could actually net me a win!

One thing to check is in the GameOptions->Edit Multi-Player Options Menu make sure the "Coaches reset game plan prior to each game" isn't set to yes. I think it may be by default.

That's awesome! Thanks for the tip. My gameplan and depth charts were being reset everytime as well (had to save and load what I was doing) but this seems to have fixed it.

You can/should delete the .fmm and .fmk files too if you have 'em.
