News out of Los Angeles:
After franchising QB Moe Doesburg this off season the Matadors and Doesburg 's agent quickly reached a stalemate in contract renegotiations. It is unclear exactly what caused the rift but as a result Doesburg is being cut from the roster and free to pursue other offers in the upcoming free agency period. Someone close to the team reports that Doesburg ' contract demands were just to large and in order to resign other key free agents he had to take the hit. Doesburg leaves the team after several competent years at the helm, but apparently Matadors management does not view him to be integral to success in the future. So long Doesburg!
