FWIW I've worked out what happened so just in case someone else does this I thought I'd share the insight :-)

I had been on the road for work and using my laptop to run FOF7. I got back yesterday downloaded the stage file on my desktop and at this point everything was ok. But then I transferred the missing game log files from the laptop to my desktop and grabbed a bunch of the other files in the leagues directory as well and in so doing overwrote the stage file during that process. Mystery solved, idiocy revealed.

No idea. But it might explain why you thought you needed another midweek.

No idea how that could have happened. I downloaded the stage file, watched the WC round, made a roster move and uploaded. Can't see how it could have been a wrong stage!
