Wow Burlington I didnt look at the boxscore that is some good ole' Pirate luck coming back. That is the magic we need from last year to get back in there. Week One Dewitt didnt not play and you schooled us, it looks like Dewitt got some payback from missing the opener. Good game.

Congrats to the Beasts....they were up 28-0 at the half and then called off the dogs...guess we can call that a statement game....but the game was AT WV...they come to Boston a little laterOriginally posted by Suicane

WVA gets their first win against Boston at an opportune time. I have to admit for once I was pulling for WVA (I consider them our top rival!). If Boston beat WVA on the road, they could have walked away with the division. As it stands now, the best division in the IFL is just heating up! WVA leads Boston by 1/2 game, Hartford by 1, and Norfolk by 2. If Hartford can manage a road win against Norfolk, Hartford will have the tie-breaker for the division.Originally posted by HammettCongrats to the Beasts....they were up 28-0 at the half and then called off the dogs...guess we can call that a statement game....but the game was AT WV...they come to Boston a little laterOriginally posted by Suicane

.
WVA has big games against: Portland, Vancouver, Boston, and Norfolk (don't forget the Vipers are 2-1 against WVA!)
Boston has big games against: Vancouver, WVA, Reno, and Hartford
Hartford has big games against: Louisiana, Vancouver, Boston, and Reno
WVA has the easiest schedule down the stretch, but plays half of their big games on the road. Boston plays most of her big games at home, and Hartford is going to have to go on the road for this difficult stretch. My prediction is that WVA will finish at 11-5, Boston will finish at 10-5-1, and Hartford will finish 10-5-1. As last season, WVA will not have the tiebreaker advantage for the division crown, Boston will have that locked up, with Hartford owning the division record edge over WVA as well. Boston will be the #1 WC for the AC, and Hartford will be the AC #2 WC.
However, I hope I am wrong!

I figured that you would be playing a lot of M2M and Bump 'n Run, so I changed my passing game quite a bit to compensate. I worked on getting the ball to my FB and TE, which worked out quite well. I also decided to pound the ball a bit more.Originally posted by dberner30Figured I would lose the game. Just didnt care for the way it played. Mueller attributes are BS. I changed my game plan to play to what should be his weakness and stayed away from big blitz tactics since he seems to handle them well. On top of that your defense just smothered my offense. Granted my offense isnt great but your defense isnt that good. It sucks to lose. Even worse to lose when you get beat by the factors that shouldnt beat you. My coach made some bad calls too. Your defense seemed to always be called run/pass to match my offense but my coordinator couldnt get it right against you. Fucking moron.Originally posted by WarhammerOK, I need to start my Jerome Mueller for the Rookie of the Year campaign now!
We're now 5-1-1 after our 0-2 start with wins over West Virginia and Wichita, plus a tie against Boston. Can't complain, I thought all 3 would be losses earlier in the year!
It could have been worse, I fumbled on the 3, and missed two FGs (granted you missed one too). Still, not going to complain, I got a W when I needed it. Now, I just need to get a two more over the next two weeks.

Bahhh, talk all the shit you want Sov, you won the game.
1. My QB shockingly played like a fucking rookie! Still can't fiqure that out.
2. With my starting LCB already on crutches, my start FS thinks he is still playing in Wichita, and goes down for 7 weeks. Great! There goes any pass defense I had.
3. Despite writing my gameplan to NOT panic, we go 1-12 on long passes throwing 4 unneeded picks at the end of the game. WOOT!
The good news is my defense played pretty good, despite the score. Columbia is considerably better then us at this point, and I thought we did a pretty good job.
There are going to be games like this untill Hamilton gets his feet under him, and I am not disapointed. I have something to look forward to, all Columbia can do is pray his team wins it all soon, before his players start to collect social security in the next couple years.

You have a great point there. Many of the top teams are close to the cap limit and are getting old. When Oakland gets to the top, they may be there for a while.Originally posted by JaveBahhh, talk all the shit you want Sov, you won the game.

St. Louis and Louisiana will once again come down the stretch battling it out for the AFC South title.
7. Interesting Situation.
Louisiana and St. Louis both have to hold serve against division rivals, however if Houston and the Mules were to win, then the AFC South would become a hodgepodge with all teams seperated by a mere game.
The VooDoo held on to beat Albuquerque 17-13. The game really should have been higher scoring. Albuquerque played hard but the VooDoo running game really ripped them for 227 yards rushing. Patrick Williams got the game MVP by default. He really did not have that good of a game only going 14 of 25 for 129 yards with 1 passing td and 1 running td but he did not hurt the team with 0 picks although he did fumble once. As long as he can complete a few passes but limit the turnovers the VooDoo will have success. The defense played ok, not the best performance of the year, but good enough to make a 17-0 lead hold.
Next week is huge for the VooDoo as we host, in my opinion a very dangerous Houston team. This will be the 2nd game of a 4 game home stand for the VooDoo and we need to take advantage of it. Over the same 4 games St. Louis is on the road 3 of 4 weeks and gives us a great chance to make up some ground. During that time we will both meet Madison and Pittsburg. The one who does the best against those two teams will win the division.
GO MULES!!!

Good game suicane, St. Louis. The key for the rest of the season is if we can get a few more consistent D games like that we should be alright. Still not happy we can't blitz. On offense Hildebrand has surprised me (though he still can't get emerson involved downfield very much) so hopefully he doesn't go out and chuck 3 picks next game. This is the 2nd week we've jumped out by 14 pts and set on it, looks like we need to get more aggressive in that aspect. Other than that big game vs. Portland next week. Just think what our record would be if we could win at Fresno. :P No they are good team their coach can really gameplan at least I hope he is game-planning.

Sloppy game on my end. My offense didn't play terribly at all, but 11 penalties destroyed us. I was getting furious watching 10+ yard plays get turned back due to holding or an illegal substitution. I geared my defense against the run and it apparently didn't matter, but you also have a hell of a line so I don't feel too bad. I needed that tiebreaker win, looks like I have to go the division route now.Originally posted by RaginThe VooDoo held on to beat Albuquerque 17-13. The game really should have been higher scoring. Hate the big injury. what is that like rest of this season AND NEXT season. wow.Originally posted by Houston_GMOuch, what a bad week. I'm rushing down the field to try and tie it. I don't have any timeouts left, but my team decides the 30 yard line is good enough to attempt a FG despite 27 seconds left on the clock on 2nd down.
Plus I lose my OLB for 62 weeks. I was really outplayed anyway.. something like 400+ yards to my 200+. Good game Murfreesboro
I haven't downloaded the game file yet, but the Mules have a wierd situation in the AFCS. Winless against St. Louis and Louisianna yet have not lost to Houston. Strange.
Yeah you would think 27 seconds would be enough to spike the ball huh?sigpic

Yeah good game Pittsburgh. Your defense was tough all game. We never got our running game established at all. We had a chance to drive down at the end and kick a FG but you got the INT at the end.Originally posted by MrBigglesworthDefense and no turnovers is our mantra. Pittsburgh matches up well against Madison. We've now swept the season series, and hold the tie-breaker for the division (stranger things have happened).
This is the second straight week we've controlled the game against a playoff caliber team. Though the score was close, the first down totals were 22-9 and the yardage totals were 340-216, each in Pittsburgh's favor. We should have score more: we punted 5 times from Madison territory.
Good job by the Madison run D though, Avila was all over the field. I sure hope him and Loving retire at the end of the season
Just a couple of weeks ago I wrote off the season and started experimenting with game plans for next year. The lesson, as always, is I'm an idiot.
We did a good job on the leagues leading rusher Rodriguez. We had a lot of penalties that didnt help our cause too. Mann was throwing the ball good all game. I wished i would have blitzed a little more to put pressure on him.

I assume you are talking about Eddings right? Yeah his 4.7 ypc for 95 yards in that game was a bit of a surprise to me. Dixon was banged up a little and that is why he got more carries then he normally would. Hell, Eddings is actually my normal #3 back, and I actually should have activated the guy who is my normal #2 RB. I didn't though because I did not make an export for this game (I excused myselfOriginally posted by BIGWOOD1488How the hell does a RB rated at 29 average 5 yards a friggin carry?
), I just let the one from last week roll since I was late getting the games out.
I would say Eddings did well though because he is pretty decent at inside running, so he is not a horrible guy to have run the ball some.My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.
