This team is vanilla...not vanilla bean, not french vanilla, not vanilla with fudge swirls, not country style vanilla, just vanilla..and it could be vanilla ice milk, not ice cream or frozen custard.

    And I prefer chocolate.

Which means we're bland and we can't do anything defensively.

Yeah, this D is playing well. But the offense is sketchy. GG Kabong.

We get an important win over Columbia 31-0 to remain a game behind West Virginia. This was much closer than the final score indicates as we were only up 10-0 midway through the 3rd. After going up 17-0, Columbia stopped punting and allowed us to score two short field TDs in the 4th to make it look like a blowout.

The defense played very well and Columbia was limited to only two drives of 25 or more yards (resulting in a missed 50 yard FG and an INT). The defense was lead by OLB Vince Champion (an INT, 2 forced fumbles and 7 tackles) and CB Patrick Patton (4 passes defensed). Additionally, they limited Columbia QB Mario Gurley to 14/34 passing for 122 yards and an INT.

The offense had a nice day rushing for 228 yards mostly behind Terrell Hanks who had 137 yards on 23 carries and a TD (although a lot came on one 59 yard run). Grant Bechtel has another nice day as well going 17/28 for 144 yards and 2 TDs (for a 97.9 QBR). Bechtel also added 64 yards on the ground on 4 scrambles.

            Tough loss Columbia!

Good game Kobeck, very well played.

For the second game in a row we fall behind early and can't quite get back. This team will rarely be out of any game, as the D is a very good one. Our O is another story, we gotta get better with the chances we have. We got off to a great start and are trying to get healthy. We just gotta play better. Maybe chasing the Mules will give us some motivation.
