Why is cut day and midweek 1 the same export?
Wouldn't it make sense to have a cut day on one day and the next day have the midweek before week 1 begins? So, we can look at who has been cut and try to sign some players before week 1 begins?
Should make cut day on Saturday then have Midweek 1 on Sunday. I do plan on looking to add some pieces to my final roster before week 1 with other teams cuts. Would like to be able to do this before my week 1 game.Last edited by BOSS; 07-23-2014, 02:31 PM.2003,2004,2007,2008,2010,2013,2024,2025,2031,2037, 2038 and 2039 NC North Division Champions, 2012 and 2017 Wild Card

To minimize my work for what is essentially the same stage? We have a cut day and a week 1 midweek, but nobody has to use them. Players don't have to be cut until Wednesday's sim. But I can run another midweek on Saturday. It's no biggie to me.Originally posted by BOSS View PostWhy is cut day and midweek 1 the same export?

We have always had to be down to 53 players on cut day here. If you didn't cut your roster down to 53 on cut day the commish would take the lowest rated players off your roster until you are set on 53.2003,2004,2007,2008,2010,2013,2024,2025,2031,2037, 2038 and 2039 NC North Division Champions, 2012 and 2017 Wild Card

Yuck. I just saw that in the Constitution. Why not let the game handle it? Why make more work for the commish? And why give an advantage to teams under 53 players? Sigh.Originally posted by BOSS View PostWe have always had to be down to 53 players on cut day here. It was so we could fine tune our rosters before week 1 started. Not really much more work for the commish, owners know they have to be down to 53 on cut day. You may get 2 or 3 teams tops you would have to do some roster work to get them down.Originally posted by Hooper View PostYuck. I just saw that in the Constitution. Why not let the game handle it? There might not be nobody I want at all after final cuts but I do like the chance to look at the players who get cut to see If I could use them at all. After the midweek is done, I get a chance to look at my final rosters and set my depth charts for Week 1.2003,2004,2007,2008,2010,2013,2024,2025,2031,2037, 2038 and 2039 NC North Division Champions, 2012 and 2017 Wild Card

Since no one wanted Joe Peterson, a defensive end we put on the block, and since he didn't convert to MLB at all, I plugged him into the MLB spot without converting him. He winds up the game's MVP, and forced a fumble, and registered two sacks while making three tackles.
And we beat Portland 14-10. That's three and 0 in preseason, and I doubt it translates into ticket sales...or regular season

ha! I've never tried that - playing someone in a totally different position group. I'm sure a lot of teams could use Peterson. A lot of the teams with cap room are cpu though.
