Let me say this, this league is now officially wide open. I think the previous favorites are all beatable now, and the title is anyones for the taking.

Congrats to sovstar on the win, I fall 0-3 against Columbia.

Look at the preview of the Little Rock-Columbia game on the Sports Page, and see what I said this game came down to. QB play, simple. Ralph Given had a damn good game, but had 3 turnovers. Best damn job my defense has ever done on Columbia too, just wasted. Oh well, next time I hope.

Fuck, what a damn good week of games. This is one of the best weeks to lok at games IMO.

A few comments. Oakland may be on to something as they get the biggest win win franchise history maybe?

St. Louis' Mark McMurray just set the Passing TD's in a single game mark with 5. Although it was against Fresno.

I dunno, I will shutup because I know you guys will hit on all the highs and lows of the week once you start talking. But I am just loving this week despite my loss.

        Boston is proud of they-selves
-holding Cleveland's high-ranked run offense to 2.2 yards a carry and 189 of total offense - and holding them without a score until inside 12 minutes of the fourth quarter

and we've got a little thunder-n-lightning thing going with the Dragon running game...

This sets up a helluva important game at WVA next week - (although the beasts do have to come to the Lair in week 15

My boys played great today. Good game Burlington, missed FG's and that INT on the 5 really hurt you guys. Loving took good care of the football and made some nice passes. The running game was clicking on all cylinders too. Im really stoked about this win!

That must pain the other members in my division. With me being 6-3 next week they will all be playing catch-up.

The AC East again lays claim to be the most difficult division in the IFL. Boston lays the wood on Cleveland and Norfolk defeats Montreal. Only one team is under .500 in the division, and that is 4-5 Norfolk.

In addition to conference contenders West Virginia and Boston, you have two teams that no one will want to play come conference time in Hartford and Norfolk.

I gotta give props to the Griz's second rookie wonder QB. Jerome Mueller is 3-0-1 in his starts with a 4th quarter comeback and a 98.2 passer rating to boot! Of course with Harry Moss mentoring him, what else do you expect?

              Surprises this week:
Oakland and Pittsburgh both win again.
              Madison blanks Burlington
              Texas beating Vancouver

              2003 IFL AC East Runner-Up - Wildcard 10-6
              2004 IFL AC East Runner-UP - Wildcard - AC Runner-up 10-5-1
              2005 3rd Place AC East 6-10 2007 2nd Place AC East 8-8
              2006 3rd Place AC East 7-9 2008 2nd Place AC East 9-7
2009 1st Place AC East, Imperial Bowl Champions 13-3

Hey now, give my boy some love, he never gets mentioned among the big QB's but he's consistently led my team to a very good overall record. :?

                    YOur team deserved the win.

Yes the missed fg's and that one int really hurt. But your D and running game was exceptional.

                    Mad props.

My team played really well, only too lose by three points. If Colella hadn't thrown three INTs we might have won in my debut.

Some General League Observations For Week 9.

                        1. Norfolk and Lawrence really put Montreal and Neward behind the 8-Ball.

                        2. Boston has recovered nicely from their 2 game skid.

                        3. Madison is really impressing the heck out of me.

                        4. Thank you Anchorage

                        5. Oakland is on the right track, their not there yet, but they are building to a solid team.

                        6. Orlando could be in trouble.

                        7. Columbia has rebounded nicely.

                        8. Salt Lake City has not.

                        Looking Ahead To Week 10.

                        1. Cleveland vs Montreal is more than likely an elimination game.

                        2. Boston vs WV is the marquee game me thinks, should be a good battle.

                        3. Oakland vs Columbia, it doesn't get any better

                        4. Little Rock, Lawrence, Orlando & Texas will all be fighting to keep their heads above water.

                        5. Reno vs Vancouver is gonna be a good game with a good deal at stake.

                        6. Would anyone be shocked if Pittsburgh beat Madison? Pittsburgh just gives me the vibe that they could upset anyone at any time.

                        7. St. Louis has to do what Louisiana could not do and go to Anchorage and get a win.

                        IF THE PLAYOFFS STARTED TODAY

                        AFC
                        Portland AT St. Louis
                        West Virginia AT Albequerque

                        Byes- Boston, Wichita

The 2 Conference title teams from last year would not be in and St Louis, WV and Portland would be the only returning playoff teams.

                        NFC
                        Tulsa AT Reno
                        Vancouver AT Columbia

                        Byes- Madison, Burlington

Reno, Columbia and Madison would be returning to the playoffs from last season. Burlington would be a worst to first team,

Where's the love for the Grizzlies recovering from their 0-2 start? I've gone 4-1-1 since, and that loss should have been a win! In the process I put the first blemish on Boston's record and beat West Virginia!
