      Mules vs Renegades

huge early season matchup in AFCS

Mules W and its a multiple way tie for first

Houston W and they are the clear early season favorite leaving Murfreesboro/St.Louis/New Orleans looking at WC

Huge defensive struggle for most of the game, but Murf's defense started wearing down before mine. Both teams played much closer than the score indicated, and I can't believe my QB got injured on the last play of the game - on a running play.

Side note, why are my game colors all wonky? I don't mind the red/black theme, but the grey lines for every other player in my roster view are very dark. Any way I can lighten that up?

Damn, that was a helluva game. Personally, I think we blew the game but congrats on pulling it out. It was a classic...

I loved this defensive stand we had with the game tied with 5 minutes to go...

Salt Lake City: Five-Receiver Spread formation, strength is right. The defense is in a 34 with nickel personnel and 2-deep man-to-man coverage, expecting the pass.
1-10-SLC01 (4Q: 04:49) Gabe Patterson kept the ball, running inside the right tackle for 0 yards. Tackled by ILB Victor Brechbill.
Salt Lake City: Single-Back formation with trips receivers, strength is left. The defense is in a 34 and 2-deep bump-and-run coverage, expecting the run.
2-10-SLC01 (4Q: 04:08) Daryl Wiggins ran inside the left guard for 0 yards. Tackled by S William McGinn, assisted by ILB Floyd Hill.
Salt Lake City: Five-Receiver Spread formation, strength is left. The defense is in a 34 with nickel personnel and 2-deep man-to-man coverage, keying aggressively on the pass.
3-10-SLC01 (4Q: 03:44) Gabe Patterson kept the ball, running inside the left tackle for 0 yards. Tackled by S Scott Campos.
4-10-SLC01 (4Q: 03:16) Dwight Preston punted 33 yards. Bernard Hardy called for a fair catch at the SLC34.

Too bad we had to settle for a FG there. Could have been the nail in the coffin for you. Oh well, until next time.

Sorry about you losing both your starting DE's to injuries. It was a rough game. I got a few guys with bruised ribs and lost my backup TE for 7 weeks.

I opted against selling out for the run with the hope your passing game couldn't keep up AND you brought the pain

we pulled one out on the road. despite our great record, I'm not sure how good we really are. our opponents record is not very good.

GG Chris...hang in there. You have a stout D. You just need to improve the offense.

Looks like we're gonna have to rely on k Adrian Logan a lot this year. He had 6 fgs and 3 from 50+ this game. I just don't think our offense can be relied on to score very many tds. Probably will be our down-fall against the top-notch offenses...hopefully our D can keep up their play.

After jumping out to a perfect 3 - 0 as road trip wanderers, London only go and lose their home opener in overtime.
                            Sod it!
At least the fans are turning up now.

                            Congrats on the win Portland.
