So I read through the chat log. Seems like a glorified patch to me. Nothing excites me about this new game. Im disappointed.

Sounds like my time playing this gameis coming to an end. Sad.

To me it sounds like it's not really a new game but it's also more than just a patch. I was hoping for a little more but I still enjoy the game so what seems like a very through patch works for me

If that's the case why isnt it just being released as a patch? Kids need money for the college fund?

1) I have no problem paying for what he's telling us. EA charges more for a glorified patch yearly than what Jim does every 6 years and he'd still have updated the core of the game more than they ever do.

2) Did I expect a more substantial upgrade? Maybe. I did at least hope for it. However, to me this is an indication of Jim being "back on track" after some rough years on a personal level and trying to find himself.

To me FOF 7 feels just about as relevant and substantial as FOF 2007 did over previous versions - and I gladly paid for 2K7 when it came out. Hell, I won the first IFL Bowl after the upgrade .

Buying this new version is a no brainer to me and I hope it will be the league consensus to upgrade.

I agree. What do people expect. I don't want a complete overhaul, as it would lose the FOF feel, which I enjoy. Seems like there will be a lot of new additions that will improve the game.

I finally actually read the thread and the chat. I agree with the person who said whats really hurting this game is the UI and such looks like something out of the 1990s.

I just read through the log and I was a little bit disappointed but also relieved. I was disappointed that he seems to be resistant to making what seem like some straightforward changes - like making league customization options, improving the chemistry model, adding coaching styles, etc. Fixing the financial model didn't really come up either - which is concerning. But I am relieved though that he doesn't sound like he will make radical changes and/or dumb things down. I'm still optimistic at this point...

Yeah the coaching draft sounds retarded. This is supposed to be a football simulation.

As for affording a graphics guy maybe he should partner with a company that already has graphics guys. Needs to do something to make this game appeal to more people then just his hardcore fans.this community needs to grow. Wonder what his actual sales figures have been from game to game.
