2025 Regular Season Schedule

You'll notice that I have eliminated midweek's. We are probably the only league left that was doing them. what I'm going to suggest is that if someone recommends a midweek, I will do one. If there is roster juggling that is required, you can let me know in a PM, and I can make sure it gets done. i.e. signed WR. can you place him in the FL2 spot.

For me, it's easier to not do them because it saves me time that I need to be at the computer. The initial requirement for midweek's stemmed from FOF2k4 when the roster requirements were very strict.

Also....
should a new version of FOF come out, I will alter the schedule to have games run on Sunday and Thursday all season until its completion so that we can finish our season up and then upgrade to the new game. From my memory, it took about a week for the game files to get converted. Either way, it would be nice if the new game came out and 2025 was our last with FOF2k7

It looks like the “new” FOF is still a ways off. And even if it did come out this fall it will be in a beta form. Why do we want to go that route? Let them get the worst of the bugs out then convert to the new FOF after it has been out a couple of months.

Also note that week 7 games are scheduled for SEPT 1 and Labor Day [will Boss and DAK still take the day off seeing they hate unions?} is SEPT 2, so some folks may not be around as that will be an extended weekend for many.

Also big thanks to those who ran the draft and all the other daily chores. [Matt mostly] I think our league is a pretty strong one overall and doesn’t appear to have some of the issues some other leagues have when looking at their forums.

any release of the game will be a working version that has been tested. To me, it makes no sense to continue on with this version if a new one is out.

And with no publisher I don’t see it happening in the next 12 weeks. Per their claim of not yet being in Alpha testing, IF it would happen by some magical Republican fuzzy math miracle to come out in November it will be the first stages of Beta testing. Seems pretty shortsighted to be a guinea pig test platform. Or, at least a plan to revert back if it did turn out to be a disaster.

I'd like to get this out in November, but testing can uncover problems and I don't know how the new game will be published. While I'd love to have it on Steam, I don't think it's necessarily a game they'd be interested in publishing.

not sure if you've been around for other FOF installments, historically anything that is released is a viable game on its own. It's only after do tweaks and changes get made. Jim isn't going to release a shitty game ala EA Sports. He will release a tested and polished game. Patches will come out, but I believe the game will be playable on release.
