despite the many warnings, I still need to always send a PM to a few guys to log into the utility as well as hear some people complain that they were auto picked.

so, I just try and make sure that everyone is aware and if anything happens, you can't say I didn't try.

I'm pretty positive he is taking Woodcock.

Woodcock's the only choice. I disagree with this being a top-heavy draft and don't think there's a single Franchise QB - maybe even player - in the class.

Yes Woodcock is the choice. I'm curious how you define Franchise Player. I didn't scout Burgess but if I had the 2nd pick and got a VO from my scout on Burgess i'm not sure what i'd do.

In a quick attempt to answer I guess I loosely define Franchise Player as one who guarantees a lot of outcome effecting on a game by game basis.

What I'm about to say will be old news to most IFL'ers but since you're new I'll tell you (and bore the rest) that I'm an extreme defensive football fan but FOF mechanics don't allow for a defensive player to actually be consistently outcome effecting or I'd be all over the DE.

Woodcock may be a Franchise Player but if I remember correctly he's got 1 red and 4 blues on his combine. Most Franchise Players have at LEAST 3 reds.

Defensive ends, as well as outside linebackers can play an enormous part in a defensive scheme. I've had strong side linebackers in separate leagues win multiple DPOTY awards and at times wreak so much havoc, that the other team couldn't move the ball with any sort of consistency on offense.

I strongly disagree with this statement. Just because a player doesn't have 3 red combine scores doesn't mean he's not a franchise player. Woodcoock has 2 reds, 3 blues, and the one combine he has green is his broad jump, which unless you are looking for a return man, is irrelevant anyway. Burgess has 1 red, 4 blues, and a black. But that black is arm strength. My guess, is he'll be the perfect west coast or smash mouth offense type of QB, although I can see his future rating being 75-80, and that certainly would scream franchise to me.

I'm actually considering taking DE Tyler with 1.3. That would give me two ferocious pass rushing DEs and I really think once Tyler develops and I get some talent at the weaker spots on defense, both DEs would get 10+ sacks a season.

DPOTY just means "Defensive" player of the the year. Somebody's gotta win it though it probably won't mean an "effective player" much to my dismay. LOVE to see a defense that had an effect on one of the IFL's stronger offenses.

We'd all love for FOF not to be an "all-about-combines" draft and actually include something other than but it is what it is... 10+ sacks from 2 players... I'd LOVE to see it on my team... be interested to see it on another.

Is there any reason we can't start the draft untimed so we can get the first few picks out of the way?
