5-1 now, sporting the fewest pts allowed, and now with the most pts scored.

Burlington may still be a product of easy schedule but after taking over a very poor team in week 5, I have tried to mold them, and shape them and let's be honest, we blew last year, so 5-1? Even if we aren't close to the offense I believed we would be this year, I will take the record every freaking time.

Some observations from the Cardinals game.

          1. We havn't run the ball well all year, so what does my coach do? Goes out and runs it 45 times  but for 213 yards

          2. We fumbled the ball 5  times, losing 3 of them including 1 late deep in our own territory to give them a chance to get back in it, they got the TD but we came up big on the 2 point conversion.

          3. We held Timmerman to 28 yards on 13 carries, we've been solid against the run all year but this performance is something i'm very proud of.

          4. We got 4 sacks, we've been lax in getting to the QB this year, i'm very happy we finaly had that "breakthrough" game.

          5. 86, 46, 41, 39. Those are the number of rushing yards for RB1, RB2, FB & QB, my QB ran a 17 yard bootleg, I giggled when I saw that.

          6. First play of the game? A 36 yard C-Dog Interception return for a TD, nice.

          7. My backup FB and a legit pass catching threat destroyed his knee, it was sickening, damn leg went in 3 different directions, oooofah.

          8. This AI can be maddening at times, first and goal from the 12 with 30 seconds left in the half and no time outs my coach kicks a FG. Not a single shot at the end zone let alone, theres just no excuse for that, Jim needs to work on that aspect. And then with a 10-9 lead half way thru the 3rd quarter in a game in which field position is oh so important he's got me trying a 54 yard FG, ooooofah again.

          9. 2 Big road games coming up at Louisiana and Portland, i'm really setting my sights on winning these games and getting myself in position for 1 of the 2 byes. I don't wanna go on the road in the 2nd round of the Playoffs again this year, no matter what I accomplish that would be a stagnant step for me.
          I luv British womenz.

              A WIN!!!!

God, I forgot what these felt like

GG, Sovstar. Booker is a witch in front of the home crowd and I hoped today wouldn't be any different. Bringing that dome team outdoors in the rainy cold weather helped too.

              Booker 18/25 203 yds 1 TD
              Tart 24/112 1 TD
              Tyler 6/91 1 TD ( Voodoo's trash has become a solid 3rd WR for me--11 targets, 11 catches)

Lost a big play guy in Mertz this week but that means a start for one of those rookies I picked up in the draft.

NC West beat the NC South today!!!

Some notes from around the league.

                1. Montreal put a whoopin on Boston, it's a shame those 2 arn't in the same division, it could almost take the place of Hockey, hehe.

                2. SLC had a really powerfull BALANCED attack this week, poor Columbia, up and down like Bobbi Dallas.

                3. Louisianna and Fresno played a game where neither QB passed for 100 yards, Darrel Wilson threw 40 times for 98 yards, thats barely 2 yards gained for every attempt, ooofah.

                4. Portland looks like a real fine team.

                5. Madison looks like they should always be better than they are.

                6. Orlando looks like one of those teams that got hot when it mattered, and I have no doubt they can do it again, but can they do it over the same exact stretch of games? ie: playoffs

                7. Poor Texas, going downhill faster than Ashlee Simpson career.

                8. Big win for Norfolk, that WV game is gonna be a thorn in my side all year cause i'd be in much better position for a bye if I had the tie breaker over them.

                Looking ahead to next week.

                1. Boston travels to Wichita, is this the stretch of games where the slipper comes off of Cinderelas foot? That 4 game win streak is gonna be a bit of a memory if Wichita holds serve next week.

                2. Cleveland and WV, thats gonna be fun to watch, Cleveland better not get too comfortable around .500, this conference is better this year and it won't be so easy to go deep in the playoffs from a .500 record this year I don't think.

                3. Orlando has a key easy game to allow them to pad their record to 2 games over .500.

                4. SLC & Vancouver, nice matchup of teams tied for a division lead. Has SLC got it all together finaly or was this week an abberation?

                5. St. Louis vs Louisiana IV My favorite IFL Rivalry, although I may be a little biased

                6. Columbia better take care of buisness next week, if they slip up again they could be lookin at the tail end of a 2 headed monster ahead them in their division.
                I luv British womenz.

C-Dog asked me not to lead with that story, he felt there were other aspects of the game that deserved mentioning first, C-Dog is all about the team.

Great observations Suicane. We should get hot for at least 3 games. Whenever Jesse Garcia starts at QB we win.

damn, another 3 point loss, another missed FG

And going for it on 4th down at my own 49. . .failing and then letting up a 49 yard pass. . ... ughhhh

And my schedule looks pretty bad from this point on. It's gonna be hard to even get to 500, much less a playoff berth

This is still Russ. Andrew wasn't too up to speed on creating game plans yet so I helped him out with this one.

Cringer, you said your offense played bad - why aren't you giving my D any props? 3 Interceptions from one guy, 3 Sacks from another, and 4 turnovers is good defense not bad offense!

You want to talk about bad offense, look at mine. You had 316 yards to my 236 - I mean Ho had more than that on the ground in one game alone!

Overall, this game could have went either way if you didn't have those turnovers and I'll give your team props for stopping TD's and making me kick FG's inside the red zone.

Next up is Salt Lake City and first place in the division!

Loving with 4 picks, BAH! Good game Newark you kicked our ass. The gameplan was to run the ball but with you getting up big early we had to start throwing and i knew that would be bad news on my part. Your secondary is good and it showed. Were just gonna sweep this one under the rug and forget about it.

I watched the game through the VIEWER and it was a 26-9 final score. I dont know what happened because the final was 20-3. Shit, like it matters. :?

This could be argued either way really, and usually is. Was it piss poor play by the QB, or was he forced into piss poor play by the defense? Probably a combo of both in most cases, but when it comes to 4 turnovers by one guy I give him a little more blame then I do credit to the D. That does not discredit your D at all though.

When not throwing INT's, Given obviously still had a hard time with 4 bad throws, 8 passes defended (that blows). He was hurried 6 times, this on top of being sacked 5 times, so obviously your D gets a lot of credit for this.

But as I said, he is young and has a bunch of development left, so a day like this was expected sometime soon, and probably will happen again this season.
