Two weekends of importance.

The weekend of Feb. 19-20 (Sat. and Sun.) is the weekend I was hoping to have our first 'Double Game Weekend' of this season.

If you are not aware of this, those of us last season liked the idea of squeezing in a two game weekend in order to speed things up just a touch. We did it once last year, and I planned on doing it twice this season.

Feb. 19 (Sat.) would be week 8 games, with a FA stage Feb. 20th (Sun.) and then week 9 games on Feb. 21st (Monday). Then a FA stage on Tuesday and it is back to our regular schedule.

This will pretty much close out the first half of the season for us.


The next weekend I need to let you all know about right now is actually a early notice of a Sunday when the games will be run late, maybe even at 9-10 at night. The March 13th games are the ones to be delayed. I will be out of town and will get back into town sometime that Sunday. Well, that is the plan anyways right now..........

I am actually against double weeks, just for the sake of double weeks. I would rather see a double week in a situation that warrants it, such as wild cards, or pre-season. Otherwise, I am just fine with the once a week schedule......../shrug, just my 2 cents.

I like it except for the 2nd FA stage. Any way we can push that back (or have a 2nd week 9/10 FA stage like we did this week) to the following Saturday to keep our "weekend style" going?

sovstar, let me know if you would or would not have a problem doing the Saturday games. Just incase something like what happened this weekend (getting home Sunday at 4 am) happens again. It shouldn't, but sometimes lightening strikes twice I guess. Also I think I want to put a cut off time, like if I am not home by 1500 (3 pm) then you should run the games, something like that.

Ok, I suppose a move between countries is an decent excuse.
