Edwards was in the backfield so much he got mistaken for the other teams Fullback.

This team is going to piss me off this year, thanks to cohesion. We had 5 freaking fumbles and lost 3 of them. Tulsa had an average starting field position at their 37 yard line. Still, we won. Our offense ran like crazy and Troutman had a solid game. Crapo had his biggest game yet and looks primed to take over where Brad Harris left off.

Cohesion will be #1 next offseason.

GG Murf, I see Surratt is still going to frustrate me this year with his accuracy, but I'll take a win.

Does anyone know how long a 'questionable' strained hammy lasts? I have a feeling Denning is going to get screwed by the game and be out like 10 weeks because it never updates

              GG Jester.
Couldn't stop you on 3rd down.......and then it got out of control and reach. Not sure what to do with these guys just yet. This is about as pitiful of a Newark Bulldog as I've seen in many years.

GG and Congrats on the win Lukas.
Ouellette came out with his head up his arse and threw two picks in his first three pass attempts.
Both went to Iowa defenders in our half and ended up being Snipe Hunters TD's.
0 - 14 down in the first 7 minutes or so!
                Welcome to 2022!!

Iowa's punter kept pinning us back and we huffed and puffed and fought till the end but it was just a little too much to overcome.
Nearly managed it though and I was pleased with my offense other than Ouellette's brain freezes.

Little Rock next and already the pressure is on for a win. Jeez.

                  GG David,

the early INTs helped us tremendously and I don't think we would have won otherwise. This way we get the win against a division rival, which is always special. Overall I think we still need to improve a lot, especially on offense. It would certainly be nice if my star receiver got a few more passes thrown his way.

iceman ... what a tough way to start out the season. The Vipers were just playing with all cylinders on full throttle. I sure hope that this is a good sign and that kind of play continues throughtout the season.

GL ... it is still very early to get back on track.

                      Won't he just get re-injured?

                        GG LAS.

I thought you had us. Bauer seems to be struggling with that hamstring injury. The offense didn't come alive until the 4th quarter, and our run defense never came alive... 180 yards on the ground?! Ugh.

We played well, key players out, but that's no excuse. Portland has our number. I'm beginning to think the Matadors are never going to break into the elite of the league.

Congrats! It was a good game.

He might, but it doesn't mean anything. Its random when the injury will go away so it's pretty much irrelevant if he gets hurt again.

                              Good (albeit ugly) game, Tim.

Feel like we got lucky with the pass rush and forcing turnovers. Hopefully, I can find some time to create a game plan this week before WIC.

GG BFinno, it was close the 1st half, Donovan was picking us apart (again!) but we got lucky with turnovers and your -4 ratio did you in I guess.

Tough game with Portland next week. Just noticed that we play 6 of 7 at home to start the season, and 5 of 6 on the road to end it. Talk about a skewed schedule!
