2nd week in a row leading the Drop in Ranking. Phantoms are plummeting.
no worries, you've got the Stallions coming up--just stop the run and you've got an easy win

Newark had a chance to reclaim one game from Lawrence after the beat-up Phantoms lost for the second week in a row ... but, the Bulldogs also lost ... to Los Angeles. This was not totally a shock as we had already ordained Los Angeles as a "dark horse" in the AC:
As for the "dark horse" in the NC Well, Lansing took care of business against AC-North leader Wichita while their division rival Pennsylvania lost to Cleveland.
Lansing now leads the NC-North and the Orgres will host Newark on Sunday. Pennsylvania travels to Georgia who is fighting to stay on top of the NC-South. Both of these game (Pennsylvania-Newark and Lansing-Georgia) should be outstanding! Stakes are high for all four teams!
Last Sunday, Portland continued its march to the division title despite the absence of Karl Bauer.
However, the race in the AC-North heated up with a Wichita loss and a Montreal win. Cleveland is also starting to make some noise as well ... but we believe that their horn will turn into a party favor after they meet playoff hopeful Norfolk this weekend.
This is a must-win week for the St. Louis hopes to stay in step for a wild card berth.
Both Portland & Murfreesboro seem to be in control of their divisions and their game this weekend may play a huge factor for the second bye as West Virginia already seems to have the first bye locked up.
Los Angeles should be successful in its continued quest for the playoffs vs. Chicago.
If Tulsa loses its 5th straight to Vancouver, we will pronounce.
Texas is still looking for that first win this season and just may have a good chance this weekend against Oakland .
Little Rock should rebound after their loss to Norfolk and if Georgia stumbles against Penn , the Toads can post the same record as Georgia in that the race for the NC-South crown.
Salt Lake City hopes to make good against a compromised Lawrence team, and if so, it can keep the pressure on Vancouver.
It was an interesting week of football last weekend and this Sunday should not disappoint either.

Should be interesting. Lansing dismantled my defense. I'd like to see how you're going to go about stopping them. Hoping to learn something

We are just trying to win one game at a time, and have had some fairly good luck so far this season. Getting our #2 CB this week should help some.
We may be young and on the rise, but Newark has cemented itself as one of the top tier teams. Hoping that we end up on the winning side of what should be a really good game.
