  • QB Class of 2006

With Burger's career soon ending, it has me thinking about career accomplishments and comparison to other QB classmates.
Is there a better QB class?
    which guys are HOF worthy?

I think Burger's the only definite HOFer.

Fogarty is probably the best draft pick in IFL history coming at 7.24 but not a HOFer.

A case can be made for Opie but a case can also be made that the AC South has made Murf a post-season shoe-in for over a decade yet Opie never got that elusive 3-4 game winning streak in January.

as a group, i think these guys really have the edge on all the other classes. i was just comparing points in the far right hand column and there just isn't another class that compares to these guys. certainly, nothing from inception to the 2012 class.

as far as the HOF, I'm biased but i think Burger earned a birth after finally getting a ring. He has done very well having been on a run dominant offense. It's also hard to argue with Opie's numbers. 50k passing yards and sure to be 400TDs?
Markel is also another candidate. 2 rings and decent career passing numbers. I'm a believer in those stats

I forgot about Markel's rings since I give all credit to Kozure. It seems like he can plug and play anybody and win.

I'm anxious to open the game and see how else came from the Perkins & Amos draft. I think the 2 have missed the post-season a combined 2-3 times and are successful when they make it.
