What DDT says sounds familiar. We don't have a rule against Franchising a player signed in FA to a 1 year deal the year prior?

Ohhh we do. DDT is smart. I guess this changes my opinion on the franchise tag post I made...
"2b. Franchise Tag Rule:
A player who is signed to a one-year deal as an unrestricted free agent the previous year cannot have the franchise tag slapped on him the season after the one-year deal is signed.

Steve's post made mine a neuter.
