Order is set, please make sure it's accurate.

if you make trades, you'll need to get your picks traded in the utility.

The draft clock will run from 8 am EST to 12 am EST. From 12 am to 8 am time limits will cease to count down, however owners may still make picks if they are currently on the clock

Draft Times:
Round 1: 4 Hours
Round 2: 3 Hours
Round 3: 2 Hours
Round 4: 2 Hours
Round 5: 1 Hour
Round 6: 1 Hour
Round 7: 1 Hour
MAX pick delay will be capped at 60mins for rnd 1 through 4. starting rnd 5 max delay will be 30mins. this starts in 2020 draft
Draft Penalties:
If you miss a pick in the draft your time for all future picks will be reduced by 50%. If your time expires your pick will be made by the utility, there will no longer be mod picking. The Draft Utility allows you to make a queue as big as a you want, USE IT!

Please note that there have been instances in other leagues using the draft utility where a login may fail even after you've registered. If this happens to you simply re register and you'll be fine, you wont lose any of your settings

I am going to try to continue the discussion in here on why we can't get the draft going untimed?

I understand Sui's point about people pushing other people to draft, etc. On the flip side, 1.1 would already be selected. Then if Little Rock decided to draft 1.2, they would be done already to.

Some people have more free time over this weekend than while at work next week, and it might be better for them.

To me, it makes way more sense to start the draft untimed, and let people draft if they so desire. Personally, I posted I was going to draft Bryant Bruce 1.1 last season, but couldn't move him in the draft because of the same thing.

I would like to propose that we start the draft untimed in the future before the draft actually starts. This way those that want to make their early picks can.

only issue I see here would be, as a for instance, someone picking say 1.4 meaning to check the draft when they wake up at 11ish might have had their pick autopicked because the draft started and they were on the clock.

I guess we could always wait for the first person to log on to start the offical clock going, or something like that

In past instances "untimed" isn't really untimed. people bitch and complain when guys aren't picking.

I think it might not be a bad idea to maybe start this tomorrow. Atleast haave some people opportunities to interview / sign FA's / resign their own players.....

If people have time to come on here when it's untimed and pick, cool. If not, then we are at a stand still until business officially opens. If we are at the stand still, at least we are that much further ahead in the draft process.

for me, it'll happen when it happens... it's not like one player is gonna improve the Matadors and launch us into the playoffs...lol

The draft is a marathon of monitoring my monitor. I have no urge to extend that marathon. As soon as a pick is made, whether the clock is on or not, it's "draft time" and there's a chance I'm missing out on a good deal whenever I step away.

The top of the draft should also be exciting and full of GM participation IMO. I dislike when we've subtly gotten to pick 13 before the official draft even starts. I think that's made recent drafts more "through the motions" than fun.

Hey Fellow GM's

Quick question on the draft proceedures. Being my first draft I would like to get this right. What I have done so far to set up is go into http://www.imperialfl.us/fof_draft set up a priority list by position such that if if wanted a QB first I picked my top 5-10 players to draft in the order of importance knowing that once I get one the rest will be dropped to zero priority in favor of the next postion in line with my top 5-10 for that postion and so on and so forth. So any help would be great.

you can add actual players to your list also. this is likely preferrable over setting postitions.

You just go to the "priorty" tab and start typing a players name. if he has not been drafted, he will show up. you can then drag and drop players in your list. also, make sure to turn off "auto select" if you're availabe and want to make a live pick.
