Oh the humanity! SS Justin Warrren retires. I was hoping he would give us one more season...I have no doubt he was the primary reason we had such a good defense last year. Not only do I lose my best player but all that secondary cohesion as well. I have no idea how we are going to replace him.

Little Rock has picks #1 and #2 in the 1st Round and #1 and #4 in the 2nd Round. Seems we might be seeing a quick jump out of the cellar for the Toads.

Good timing for the Toads. Tulsa is about to go on the down swing. Georgia is emerging, but not quite there. Texas is working their way back. We could see a flip flop of the division in a couple seasons.

              I'll go with Jester's pick

honestly though, CJ wasn't winning in the playoffs for me. Couldn't get over that hump. I thought we needed to make a change. It obviously backfired that first season after the swap.

CJ does hold a special spot for me though. He was the guy that made us great. He brought us to a team contending every year.

Well losing Buerfiend really stinks. Was counting on that old fart too play a couple of more seasons

Fulcher made the decision I have been avoiding since I took over Fresno. Good reserve T, but not a guy you wanted starting.

On the plus side maybe Hodel wont be so butthurt all the time and Lara didnt like Burefiend either.

Regardless big hole in the Warthog WR corps

I was looking around for this on FOFC but didn't see any confirmation. I read that the dead cap hit is only the bonus for that year (unlike releasing which accelerates the entire rest of bonus)? Is that true?

Bonus is current year's hit in current year and all future years hit combined in year 2 following loss of player... I think.

                              this

that's the only dead money on the books.

Yea, I was just wondering if retiring was the same cap hit as releasing or different. Some on FOFC mentioned how retiring only impacts that season...

ie... Sign a guy for 4 years at a cap hit of $5m a year... He plays 1 year of his contract then retires, but only gives a $5m cap hit opposed to $5+$10
