Phantoms plan to sit starters this week.

Just in case anyone sees an issue with it I'm announcing here now that I plan to sit my starters for the rest of the season due to a VERY slim margin for possible gain by playing them. Point out any problems before Sunday's games and if they make sense from a league POV then I'll risk the injuries.

I don't want to hear in 2024 that "The Phantoms are only winning because Jester sat his starters to end 2020".

if you aren't able to advance your playoff position in any manner, it doesn't matter

From a league POV, you're impacting the AC wild card race by doing that this week. Next week it's irrelevant.

side note: I'm not telling you to play your starters or rest them. That's up to you. Your job is to win the championship so you need to do what's best for that and it would suck to see someone like Amos go down because you're trying to keep the balance in the league.

It was MY job to win 2-3 more games so I wouldn't have to rely on help, which I failed. So if you rest your starters or play them, I won't mind either way. I'm just pointing out that it does have an impact, but I'm also pointing out it's not your job to worry about it.

and I was referring to 'tanking' by mentioning 4c. But if Matt/Suicane has no issues then neither do I.

I remember at least 1 guy who was relieved of his GM duties for tanking, but that was like w2 or w3, and it was a while ago.

To put things into some perspective....
I just finished losing my star QB in another league in week 17 while up 40 late in the 4th......on a running play. Lost him for what was the rest of our season. Only reason he was playing was because I was trying to get homefield.

I got no problem with it. Tanking/Resting are two completely different things to me. If you're in a position to make sure your stars don't get injured before the playoffs it's no problem with me.
