Penn made a good run at making a potentially epic week 17 vs Murf and Houston, but Murf had a huge drive to seal the division, boo!

As far as my game, pretty solid effort, but Irby was surprising from the 2nd qtr on. He showed he still had a fire in his belly by making my defense look foolish for some stretches. Again, we decided to make it a close game, but pulled off the win.

Now, can someone smart figure out the wildcard in the AC?

    Montreal 10-5 (vs CLE)
    WVA 9-6 (@ Har)
    Portland 9-6 (@ LAS)
    Houston 9-6 (@ Murf)
    Wichita 8-7 (vs IWC)
    Hartford 8-7 (vs WVA)
    Fresno 8-7 (vs ANC)

Let me actually give it a shot from at least my end..

      Montreal 10-5 (vs CLE)
      WVA 9-6 (@ Har)
      Portland 9-6 (@ LAS)
      Houston 9-6 (@ Murf)
      Wichita 8-7 (vs IWC)
      Hartford 8-7 (vs WVA)
      Fresno 8-7 (vs ANC)

      ------------------

      Tie Breakers for 2 teams

      1. Head to head
      2. Conf Record
      3. Similar games

      --------------

      If I win and:

Mtl Loses = Mtl wins tiebreaker (so no matter what, I can't beat MTL)
WVA wins = WVA wins tiebreaker (so WVA would have to lose)
Portland wins and WVA loses = similar games (not sure here, too lazy)

If I lose, I have 0 chance because I lose all types of tiebreakers

My best chance is to win and WVA and Portland lose. Ugh. I should have won last week vs Stl.

        that's a mess!!!!

If Montreal beats Cleveland next week, they win the division and Cleveland gets the WC
If Cleveland wins, Montreal gets the wildcard.

the 2nd wild card is up in the air. Something tells me that WVA has the inside track

Sorry about that Steve. We played a good game but I got beat by a better team than mine today. Tried to stop the pass as much as possible but wasn't able to most of the game.

Still happy because Lansing also lost and there's gonna be a game for the division next week.

          SWEEEEEETTTT

GG to Murf and good luck the rest of the way

What a roller coaster ride this season has been. Nothing against Louisiana, but the better team lost today due to a poor performance, or their superior game plan. We could not do much on offense, and defensively played poor overall. Maybe the game plan I rolled out is to blame. Anyways, we win next week, we win the division.

            GG Louisiana.

Jave ... not a memorable season for you ... hope it gets better next year ... your team always seems to have lots of injuries by the end of the season ... don't know if it is the playing time settings or coach setting you use. you or coach has a GOOD for injury avoidance. Maybe Oakland it is just has its own curse. Anyway better luck next year.

Great to win the division early and not have it coming down to the last week. It has always been a dog fight with Kozure for this coveted honor. Now, to position the team for a first round bye ... please FOF Gods.

YEA, Anchorage :thewave: !! Tulsa had a great run ... but personnally, I am not disappointed that the Lynx found a way to shine and showed the rest of us that the Tigerthawks are indeed human.

WOW, some interesting races for wild card this year.

Alright! That's exactly what we needed. Montreal goes a game behind, and we have another strong showing to give us some momentum into the playoffs.

GG Orlando, when Perkins is on his game we are really tough to beat.

Not had time to see the game... but have seen the score so GG Lions looks like it was a close one.
Very pleased the division title isn't on the line against Houston

I'm pretty sure Montreal has the 1st wild card locked up regardless. They're fighting for the division, home field and other stuff I don't care about.

WVA has the tiebreaker vs Portland and Houston so it's simple for them. Win and they're in.

If WVA loses, then it opens the door to all types of mayhem. Let's say they do lose......

Houston wins AND Portland wins = I am seeing this:

                      vs Anc = Houston 1-0, Portland 1-1
                      vs IWC = Houston 1-0, Portland 0-1
                      vs Murf = Houston 2-0, Portland 1-0
                      vs NFK = Houston 0-1, Portland 0-1

Houston 4-1, Portland 2-2 in common games. I'm not really sure how it works when one team plays another twice, but it's possible if WVA loses and I win, I'm in. It would take WVA and Houston losing for Portland to get in.

(basically, the current WC standings are

                      1. WVA
                      2. Hou
                      3. Portland

If WVA, POR, HOU lose and WIC, HAR, and FRE win, it would be a 6 way tiebreaker which I have no freakin clue on. Here is the procedure:
                      1. Apply division tie breaker to eliminate all but the highest ranked club in each division prior to proceeding to step 2. The original seeding within a division upon application of the division tie breaker remains the same for all subsequent applications of the procedure that are necessary to identify the two Wild-Card participants.
                      2. Head-to-head sweep. (Applicable only if one club has defeated each of the others or if one club has lost to each of the others.)
                      3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
                      4. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.

GG ANC. You diminated us from the get-go.

I tweaked my GP a little. I dont like it. I am going back to my old one ASAP.

Not much to say. A lesson learned.

We won our 8th division title in a row and have secured a #1 seed. Those things happened last week. But I didnt want to jinx myself by saying anything.

                            GG ukpatfan! Sorry about Diedrich.

Phantoms win a meaningless one - made so by Newarks victory - to alter the AC race.

good game, Vancouver. you kicked our butts. was lucky to have kept it close.

at least I'm finally healthy. maybe I'll be able to beat the surging Whalers to get into the playoffs.
Good game Kozure. Whew, that was pretty ugly passing-wise on both sides. I got lucky with that early fumble return and had the better field position much of the game. Looking forward to watching your playoff battle with Hartford next week.

Congrats Anchorage on beating the TigerHawks.
