Shhhhhhhhhh, you and I are the only ones who believe that

Jave and DG know everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrything. I mean look how Jave compared a starting back stats to a PR/KR -- how could I not have seen that????

Or could it be that awesome stat line Myers put on display in his first start vs. what Downing did

Yeah, sometimes you have to let a jack-ass be a jack-ass

It's all about the 2003 draft anyway.

this guy ever shut his smacker? he has some obsession with always being right and proving everyone else wrong then cries that everyone else claims to know everything just because they dont agree with his opinion or actually did prove him wrong. IE look how butt hurt he got when he threw it in my face FOFC said myers would be 44/44 and I replied to him well that same FOFC post says Tyler will be 32/32. You know he is really raged when he puts me and Jave on ignore because we won't agree with his opinion and his whole I know everything I am a charter member and a vet of this game thing doesn't put us in AWE.

I think he acts like a straight up insulting little child esp when all draft long starting at 1.1 he sits there and tells me and boss we are clueless and he has this big plan and no one understands it because the rest of us are "clueless". Then in every post he is like Shhh only I know what the fuck I am talking about everyone else is dumb. Dude seriously needs to get over himself. He was so worried about being right that even after the draft he had to send me unprovoked PMs telling me how dumb and stupid and blind I was and how much of a bust I drafted. Dude has some mental obsession with wanting to be right over other people. Ridiculous.

First off Vito, I don't have a problem with taking a flyer on Tyler, the problem I had is with taking a flyer on what appears to be a crap player at 1.13. More then a few owners have said he wasn't making it past the 1st round(BOGGLE) so you were aggressive and snagged him. It doesn't appear to me he's even worth a 6th rounder but maybe I'm wrong. After TC, not much has changed my mind.

I also had a problem with Gurley being selected 1.7. It didn't appear he was worth more then a 3rd rounder, and after 2 seasons in the league, not much has changed my mind with that pick either.

Theres a few owners here who are "in the know". I don't go over to the FOFC forums and study every chart and graph in an attempt to become one of the "in the know" guys so it's my own fault if I'm left out the loop. Where guys select their players in the draft is their choice. I may disagree with it and say so, but were all here to have fun and play the game has we choose. If you want to make it personal because I call Tyler a crap player, so be it. I've drafted dozens of crap players, I'm not special.

Just whoop my ass in week one and prove me wrong

isn't that the whole thing with the draft?
how we evaluate each player and where we target to try and draft them, understanding what others "might" do?
I have no gripes about where he went. frankly, it took some balls. the reality is, others would have taken him within the next 20 picks, so it's not that much of a reach. Who knows how he'll turn out. He might make it, he might not, but it's worth the risk if you're going to get a stud QB IMO.
I recall that when I selected Reuben Caffrey in the 5th round someone said he was a good prospect, but taken too early. whomever said that had Caffrey pegged as a player, but had him targeted for later than I selected him. I think he turned out ok.
at the end of the day, if we could re-draft the draft class of 5 years previous, how smart would we all look.

Gurley gained 4 points after being drafted. He then dropped 10 points as a result of a torn deltoid muscle which left him out something like 19 weeks. Don't remember the length for sure. At that point, he had a future of 42, before injury 52. He has creeped up to 48 future since injury. So, if he didn't have the injury, he would be a 58 future right now, with some more room to creep since he is only in his 3rd year. I think he would have ended up mid 60s.

Is a mid 60s rated young QB worth the 1.7? I don't no, to some, yes. To me at the time, yes. Certainly, a mid 60s QB would net you more than a 3rd I would think.

He's a guy I thought could hit my WRs on time and scramble when the protection breaks--so that stat line is a sigh of relief. He's the player I should have drafted instead of taking Gradkowski that year.

Jave's "man-to-hate", Mario Gurley has progressed to 29/48 he's going to get a lot of snaps over the rest of the preseason. If he passes 50 in future rating this season, I'm a doubly happy man.

my "Albatross" Tyler (Gurley II) will see some time too.

WR OJ Billups: 3 catches 93 yards -- including a 48 yard catch and run.
