I think the enemies are to diverse for that question. I like sticking those ranger stations on a peninsula, though.

BTW, best tower combo is a big line of archers/cannons/mages, then a mage with teleporting at the end so they have to go past multiple times

Good. I can't get past the stage where the guy talks trash to you. I get overwhelmed. I've gotten to the 6th wave. It's overwhelming me.

I think I tried 50 times or so before getting it.. the key is infantry to hold up the masses, and artillery (I think I had two cannons or even three) and nuking the living crap out of the necromancers at an early stage in their walks down the lanes.. they keep spawning those damn skeletons so you have to hit them early.. in the end, when there are multiple necromancers coming from both sides, nuke one side first, then if you manage to hold them up enough on their way, your nuke (meteors) should be back by the time they're around the last bend before the final stretch..

I built up my reinforcements to max them out.

strategy for the final level
put sorcerer tower maxed with earth elemental by the RH side. this hits the necros before they can go anywhere.

build up cannons so they blast everything. build as many and as fast as you can.
